So they refused to build one. Then the city said well we are gonna build one and proceeded to build it. Then they sued the city because they built it?
I don't see how they could unless the city made a law(replace with proper term) to not allow the building of another.
Because that's like me going to a store with 100 tacos getting to the front and saying "wow that's to much for my blood" then getting out of line watching 100 other people go through the line and once they are out of tacos going "Hey wait a minute i don't think its fair i didn't get a taco.
I'll remember that when Linux fails to ID my laptop's wifi adapter and the guy in #linuxhelp tells me, "Dude, I dunno...mine works!"
I'll remeber that when do the same for my windows box and get told same thing. My linksys WPC54G card comes to mind. It worked fine in linux but never ever was able to connect to encrypted or unencrypted networks in windows
Its called every system is different and that means its can really just be specific to you
No it has its just that someone in a meeting said "hey we should make it so a user has to buy a copy for each device they own so we can double even tripple our profits and we can build that new bigger house"
I've only had 1 problem getting mythtv to work properly with my mythtv setup and that was using an actual xbox. I could view pre-recorded shows but not live tv. It was strange since it was same build as the other xbox i had been using.
If you run mythtv you can use XBMc to communcate with it to watch live channels and recorded shows. add the source myth://Comp-name/
I run this on my linux box that i use for my htpc. I like it because it can handle anything i throw at it even HD content (something the orginal xbox couldnt handle) Also i think it looks 1000000x beter then mythtv gui
wtf are they on about? i gathered that ie8 phone homes with sites visited but then again im kinda drunk i could be wrong... i didnt get wehter it was able to be turned off but i gathered google chrome does it so wahts wrong i mean turn it off if possible if not get another browser ! simple easy and if you cared about it you probably already have
This point is a good one but at same time you have to consider that if they did that they would have to spend the money the saved on teaching officer bob or desk clerk sally how to use/fix the software.
That is at least what the microsoft sales man told me...
I don't know about you but my motherboard gives me a warning any time a program tries to mess with the MBR. Sure it could be worked around but its 1 extra step they have to work around.
Please correct me if this isn't a good way to prevent this
why those colors?? i mean i didn't read to find out why but they could of done different colors just so it was less strain on the eyes and could be seen better from a distance.... at first i was like wtf is that pastel blob..
I have to ask myself, what's the motive a studio would have with going toward HD DVD technology vs. Blu-Ray?
Well for one they figure that there is a large mass of people with the hd-dvd player compared to the people with blue-ray players. also even the summary of the article answered your question with "He added the lower price for the Toshiba devices will appeal to the family market."
I could be wrong but from my following of the whole matter over the years MS was getting in trouble early on for their practices the legal system just took so long to catch up that their foothold as a monopoly was well set in stone by then. heck look at the IE thing was already shipped to thousands upon thousands before the government stepped in and went "hey stop that! that is bad!" I'm sorry but if is considered bad play and its been out o the market for long enough there is no stopping it and, fining the company who did it doesn't stop it either because that doesn't destroy the monopoly that was already made.

I wonder how grandma and grandpa will feel when get a letter in the mail to discover that there internet they use to only check mails from the kids/grandkids has been hijacked by a worm that they never heard about and now have to pay fines to cover damages. I mean other then the whole aww factor this plan will work.
Why wait?
I never said it shouldn't be put into affect i said really only problem is the whole "aww poor them" factor and we know that can be looked over easily especially when you slap them with a we told you in an email/letter.
you can have your system locked down from the outside world but still doesn't stop the user from creating a hole by running malicious code. And having an up to date knowledge of worms and viruses floating about would significantly hinder spreading of them.
here's not much that can be done with #2 until a law gets passed saying that the person paying for the Internet connection is responsible for $X of clean-up charges. Then people will have a financial incentive to look at more secure systems.

I personally think that ISPs should notify their users that there are worms/viruses going around (hey got an idea for a company one that works with isps to keep them up to date on worms/viruses and hell maybe even setup the mass mailing needed to get the word out). Through it would probably be best just make it so that the user can't get any of their mail till they read the message from the isp. Sure this may take some recoding to add a feature to smtpd but i think if we are going to help fight these worms we need too make it so the end user is aware of them. (this option may exist)
hell i personally consider myself a higher end user and i don't even know what the most popular/newest worms out there are. But then again i don't open an email unless i know the person for one and i also don't if the topic is off. But then again i don't count on my contacts to keep me upto date on stuff plus if its that crazy they will sooner call then email me.
