Basically your just throwing your money out the window testing it. Research data aside of course.

  8. Works until.. on Myspace to Sell MP3s From Unsigned Bands · · Score: 3, Interesting
This will probly end up working pretty decently give the "artists" don't decieded that they need to over charge for their music (price limits could be set by mysapce).

On the other hand i could see the Record Industry just sitting and watching to see which band seems to be doing the best and then bum-rush them with a contract for them to sign so the RIAA can cash in (as we know they so love to do) on this fresh artist (that already has a decent fan base). Basicly they are letting Myspace do all the hard work of promoting the band and they will swoop in at the end snag up the band and then squeeze every last penny out of them and us when the band release the studio record through them.

now if myspace really wanted to appeal to artist they should set up a recording studio and allow there artists they support to release records under their label.

it be a win for both seeing how the artist get a cheaper studio to produce in and release under and mysapce makes some extra cash flow....yeah i know it probly won't happen but its just an idea.

I'd have to imagine that this thing, due at least to its own wireless power demands, would have to get wall power, but then is it truely "wireless"? Even with this kind of limitation, I can easily see uses for such a device, however.

any wireless bridge you buy from the store more then likely has a power plug. Yet you would consider this wireless would you not?

Now a days everything needs a power cord if you expect it to run for more then a few hours/days(depending on device) However batteries are nice for lack of wall socket however, the average consumer and even the power user doesn't like the idea of having to change batteries even if it is once a month. Yeah i know people do it with wireless mice and such but i bet you any money you wish you didn't have to. Rechargeable batteries exist but why a device like this it just doesn't work unless your willing to have your devices disconnected once in a while for a battery switch then even still rechargeable batters do go bad and then you need to still replace them. So it goes back to money.

Wall plug is needed here as far as I'm concerned that's just my 2 cents.

This just makes the market that much more confusing for the customer. I'm not arguing it i' just saying that this type of marketing screws over the not so technicly inclined user. The releasing of multiple cards at once is confusing to the customers. I personally don't trust any number or letter string following Radeon or GeForce #. A while back i got tricked by the GeForce 4 Mx. I bought the card thinking it was just a step under the GeForce 4 TI. Boy was i wrong that card didn't even out preform the Geforce 2 TI my buddy had.

Sure it was my fault for not doing more research on products before i bought but i mean as a consummer buying the newest of a certain line of card you shouldn't have to worry about it not being better then 2 lines back.

If you bought a dual core intel or amd you would not expect it to be out preformed by a a cpu with a core that was release 2 releases prior.

    just my 2 cents.

You have to remember how large of user base AOL has. Sure its not as big as it was a couple years back but its still pretty huge. My girlfriends mom had AOL for a long time till she got broadband. However she kept AOL even when they didn't offer free (5 dollars a month). The reason for this wasn't because she loved AOL but, since she didn't want to go through and change her emails over to another provider. Now if 1/2 to 3/4 of people who have AOL keep their emails accounts that is a lot of people viewing their ads every time they check there email. I'm sure they have some deal worked out that they get a flat rate for just showing the ads to there customer base. Add that to the ammount they make when people actually buy stuff and they get a commision for it. I think that it probly be possible. Maybe not for a smaller based company but I think they can pull it off.
