    not at all, in fact this is exactly what they are for. They are charged with protecting the president and a candidate would be covered as well so that nobody could stop them through murder or intimidation from being elected to office. I think they stick to protecting the viable candidates rather then the homeless street corner mumblers (COUGH-NADER-COUGH)

    NO this not a troll.

    This war has been a PR nightmare. They hit the WTC for the symbol it represents as the center of western financial power and the day was picked as 911 is a number for emergency. We are not fight an enemy we are fighting symbols and ideals. As long as we are mired in this suspiciously contrived conflict that is at odds with western ideals we will continue to lost ground.

    Iraq is another reason the GOP is bankrupt philosophically. They threw away one of the best weapons we developed in the cold war, that the West was a Shining example of what the world could be. Now we are seen as jackbooted thugs.

    Sadly for the plaintiff the account came from a member of the family in a published journal (her daughter's website). How many times have there been stories of say Slashdot which were questionable. Then the comments started to fly.

    Still it all boils down to the daughter's web posting. It's close enough a legitimate source for a judge to toss it. If a journalist made it up out of whole clothe that's one thing this is from a direct source.

    Who may be a liar.

    by this you mean that younger would-be TV viewers are turning away from the set and locking on to youtube and cable/Sat

    Can cable and Sat be really considered broadcast (meaning Free not as in beer). These mediums are morphing into a subset of the intraweb. Most of the cable like John Stewart etc are tuning in to the web and that is the draw to their audience.

    I stopped watching broadcast in the 80s [driven out by Three's Company and who's the boss], I mostly ignore the sat and cable too. Because I have a better screen on my desk then whats under the dust in the living room.
