While we can be quick to claim hot topics as 'DRM' or 'Poor Economy' for the cause, it's more likely the simple fact that the difference between BluRay and DVD is negligible.
DVD from VHS brought 5.1 surround sound and full digital picture. There was also the elimination of over-use causing damage to your tapes and of course the dreaded RE-WIND.
BluRay brings nothing spectacular or revolutionary to the table aside from slightly higher resolution for an excessively higher price. Consumers don't need/want it. Myself included.
$25 to change out the RAM? First: You have to buy RAM, which they probably bought with them (which means it's fair for them to jack the price, unless you want to buy it yourself, without any knowledge).
Second, you have to pay for their time , on-site service, and expertise. $25 is unrealistic.
$60 to re-install Windows? Easy to fix? Clearly the host doesn't know a whole lot about Computers in general. $60/hour for most shops isn't unheard of, plus re-installing drivers and software, which customers are sure to bitch about later.
Don't forget about CD Rot. While you'd like to believe that if you put that Treasure Map on a CD so you can find the treasure years from now, chances are... your map will have disspeared on you.
This is why I still get my digital photos developed. Last thing I want is all my treasured memories to become suddenly un-readable someday.
Not to defend a troll, but using your own logic, what would you call the whole of the following combined parts?
North America
Central America
South America
Parent was correct, whether your fuzzy logic likes it or not.
When the man shows up with a search warrant and asks to examine the contents of my IPOD, he'd better be ready to search my house/car/garage for all CD's I've ripped and misplaced as well.
I've been looking for them for years anyway.
Just because you're not legally covered to 'copy and share' the music, doesn't mean you're not allowed to backup and copy for personal use.
Recently, the CIRB ruled that employees in Quebec and Ontario aquired in the Clearnet take over were in fact to be considered members of the TWU.
As such the job action encompasses the entire Union, not just Alberta and BC how ever Telus has refused to provide the Union with the names of the employees in Eastern Canada.
Further, the job action is not actually a strike. Union members in BC and Northern Alberta were locked out of their jobs in an act initiated by Telus creating a 'Lock Out' and not a 'Strike'. Important distinction.
Uh, that's a lot of complaints that all forget ONE important point.
The Keyboard will be COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE. If you don't like the layout of the 3 center keys, CHANGE them. No one said the JKL keys have to be where they were in the images. Don't like where the Enter key is? Move it somewhere else.
I remember back in the http://www.yaho.com/">good old days (1998) when 'Yaho.com' was actually forwarded you to 'Typo.net'. Then it forwarded you to Yahoo. People were nice, no one wanted to hijack your PC... *sigh*
Create a Worm, cripple thousands of businesses, get convicted, no monitary fine, get a 2 year Jail sentence and 30 Hours of Community service, do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
Steal a Movie, get fined Thousands of dollars, go to Jail for dozens of years, never expect to use a computer or have any rights or freedoms again.
Here is a Wikipedia map with all the locations of assumed bombings.
Some which are closer together have been assumed to be the same explosion, reported from multiple points along the tube.
Aldgate East and Liverpool Street are on the Middle right hand side.
Russell Square and King's Cross tube stations are in the center to the right.
Edgware Road tube station is on the middle left.
Those are the locations according to this news post.
Anime News Network is reporting that Cartoon network will be airing All of Neon Genesis Evangelon which will be heavily edited/Americanized for violence, gore, and nudity.
It's so True! Bruce Li could kick some serious ass! And Bruce J Lee? He was a MACHINE. Then there's Bruce Lei, that guy knew his way around a pair of nunchucks I tell you.
Where is the threshold? At what point does hot, turn to ouch? You could feel hot, but would you feel burning? Would your brain realize that the heat is not doing any damage?
Someone from Mozilla needs to Hire Spy der Mann for an Ad Campaign. That commercial alone would be perfect for the Television. Superbowl, primetime, whenever. I know he spoiled my cup of coffee.
And yes, I see the irony of my comment suggesting advertising in this thread. Sue me.
You know... In Canada, most people don't lock their doors. Most people don't live every day in fear of being taken advantage of because they're too busy being considerate of others, and we don't follow people down a dark alley unless they look like they need help. The Internet however is and will remain "International Waters" where a lifestyle change is required to survive. If only everyone just tried to be a little nicer...
Movie/TV interface design peaked with LCARS.

Adblock.. right.. that's why I can't see it :D
The resolution's going to have to be a lot higher than whatever an Ipod screen is, before I'll bother downloading to watch on my television.

Nah, Acclaim tried it, and then promptly went out of business.

That's kind of the idea...
That's retarded. There's nothing wrong with my HTML, so if some MOD somewhere could fix that I would appreceiate it.

Um Doc... how about we test on a monkey first?
This is very reminiscant of "How Lightsabres Work". Apparently Howstuffworks.com has become a major sponsor of Slashdot.
Sponsored links should be declared as such to help seperate news from "news".
Is this going to be like a Ident-i-Eeze card which I can use to secure an Unlimited expense account provided I steal it from someone filthy rich?
Typical... When the masses won't let you change the bible anymore, you might as well try to change Science.
