    One interesting thing about the translation of the Bible into English was the transliteration of the word "baptizo". In Greek this work means to dip or immerse. This translation was done under the rule of the English King James (duh!) who was part of the Church of England (Anglican/Episcopal Church). The word baptizo was not translated directly into english, but was transliterated. The new word "baptize" was invented at that time. The reason for this transliteration was that royalty had to be part of the church, into which they were introduced by Anglican baptism, which involves springkling water onto the heads of infants. To literally translate baptize into immerse would imply that all the royal officals were not part of the church since they had not recieved a valid baptism

    Why don't you get on IRC and download an ISO of Windows XP and install from that? It's not 100% legal, but you do have a license for Windows XP. Sometimes the ends justify the means.

    There are many decent DVD players avaliable for $100. Why not just get a cheap one for the time being then decide on buying a more expensive one when the new standards come out.

    Ink is by far the higher cost in the long run.

    Very true...my Lexmark z23 cost me about $35...which is also the price for a new black ink cartridge.

    Lang's website for the course I was in is here. These notes are in PowerPoint format and require the symbol font just like Guha's did. You can just copy the Windows symbol font to Linux, and they're pretty readable, but still funny. I just used windows to read them.

    I go to UCF and I got a B in Dr. Lang's discrete class and passed the foundation. I got through just studying Lang's and Guha's notes. I didn't even touch that terrible book. For the foundations exam, the best thing is to practice using old exams.

    The only thing I use winzip for now is opening windows CAB files. And I'm pretty sure winrar does that, now, too.

    Hey man, thanks for the link to that cool site. I don't know why you refer to gator as a "nasty" though...that site had nothing but really neat utilites. I now have a program to keep my clock accurate, a date manager, and a neat program that keeps me from having to type passwords and fill out foorms.

    if you bought your computer in the last 8-12 months, it should meet the minimum sys requirements

    hmm....Mac users always claim that even though the specs appear lower, they are actually a lot faster than PC's. Funny thing is that you have to have an almost new Mac to run this game that I can run just fine on my 1.2 ghz machine that i built 2 years ago for under $700.
