These companies keep fighting p2p file sharing, when more of the piracy probably comes from people actually burning copies of CD's that they bought. If they make p2p unusable, people will have to resort to getting free music by copying entire CD's from friends rather than just downloading a song or 2 that was all they wanted in the first place.

Oh well, I'll try again at 25 o'clock. There should be less traffic then.
Another reason that the removal of the claim for windows compatability is that it prevents people from buying lindowsOS with the expectation of running all of their old windows apps on this "new linux thingie". Obviously, soon after buying a LindowsOS PC, anyone such as this who is trying to run their Windows apps on linux *will* have a bad experience, because most programs will run slow or not at all. This bad experience could cause them to avoid linux from then on and tell others not to get it because "it doesn't run any of my programs"

I get it now...I've been doing it all wrong. So this is what true geeks play with while they're rolling. Guess now I can stop getting neck cramps from blowing myself up by staring at the lights on my NIC.
I remember one time some guy had a crappy BBS up and running. It was one of the few in my area, so i got an account. 3 months later, the sheisty sysOp sent me a nice 70 dollar bill in the mail. It was not mentioned in writing, but the guy wanted a $10 registration fee, and $20 per month for the membership. On-line scams have been around longer than the Internet has. (Don't get me wrong....I still had fun on the free/cheap BBSes.)
What do you run besides Office and IE? If you're not planning upgrading your software, why do you need faster computers? Have you considered performing a clean install on the boxes?
Why is the government paying for this research? I don't see any tactical advantage to beeing able to explore the oceans of Europa. Space research is important, but shouldn't it be privately funded? There are more important things that the US government should be spending OUR money on.
I can't wait to test RC1.
Then test RC2,
and then RC3,...
then RC895,
then RC896.

Maybe we should get a couple people to buy these and rip them manually (ie. from stereo into pc) and then give away as many copies of it as possible just to spite the record company. Once they realize that people (most of whom don't like Dion) are deliberately copying their CD, they may get a message.
It probably isn't their april fools joke...they're always putting up stuff like that. Just look under preferences on their site and check out the options on the language interface menu...they have stuff like Klingon and Elmer Fudd.
Last semster, when I was in a C programming class, I tried to sleep with the teacher for extra credit. To my dismay, I found it difficult to sustain an erection. This semester I'm in a java class, and when I slept with this teacher, she gave the whole class A's just because of how "studly" I was.

Pricewatch is a very reliable way to find low prices on components.

Let's give the RIAA support as free Americans. After all, we wouldn't want to be communists would we?
How many h4x0rs are gonna go see this 7337 movie reguardless of its content?...

quite true...this is exactly what is going to inspire the genius behind then new burnt phosphor ad campaign
What's next? Software that burns ads permanently into your CRT...without the inconvenience of having to install any special program?
it was a joke ha ha
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that my C teacher was a guy...
