Last I knew the Russians were using one of their Kirovs of the Pacific fleet to help power the Vladivostok region. So this wouldn't be the *first* floating nuclear power plant in Russia.
If you were to replace the word "windows" with "linux," the parent would be modded "flamebait" or "troll" as opposed to "funny." Assuming of course that the article was about linux.
I assume this has long since been defeated. Otherwise it would "prevent computer users from protecting their privacy online by removing cookies from their computer. Additionally, if cookies are used as a copyright protection system it would be unlawful to manufacture a device that removes the cookie from the system."
Seems like there was some lobbying effort once upon a time to make them the company's property. Obviously it did not get anywhere. Or maybe I'm dreaming, but I could swear I remember something along these lines in the past...
You show me the IT director that is going to recommend free software to a school board when it means he/she is the final one to answer to if anything goes wrong. Easier to just push it off on a company who will usually try to help you out.
Condi pre/9-11 did a horrid job with anti-terrorism. Least of which was the debacle with Mr. Clarke.
It's been somewhat better after 9-11 because everybody in washington had to get their stuff in order. I don't know how much we can expect as she is more geared to the geopolitics of the 1980s and the cold war, and not so much the "new world order."
A lot of what does manage to come over is dumbed down for the 8-13 crowd.
Simplified dialogue is traded for formerly complex situations. "Constipated west-coast surfer dude" is the voice-acting style preferred by many dubbing companies.
Maybe if they stop trying to pander to a young audience and put proper effort behind importing these into the United States. I mean, Princess Mononoke was very well done and its content was intact.
"Dumping: selling goods at less than the normal price, usually as exports in international trade. It may be done by a producer, a group of producers, or a nation. Dumping is usually done to drive competitors off the market and secure a monopoly, or to hinder foreign competition."
Drive off competitors? Secure a monopoly? Sony? Never!
I made over a dozen scenarios for Civ2 and not a single one for Civ3. Needless to say when Civ3 shipped I was very disappointed with the lack of both solid mod support and multiplayer.
Good to see they're shipping with much more solid support.
You know, everybody sticks it to the editors for bad grammar and spelling control, but you really have to consider all the articles that get rejected. Maybe this was the cream of the crop? Who knows, there could have been a better worded one, but the title was "Playstashun 3"
Fantastic! Now I can either slide the bar one way, and learn how to build my own atomic stockpile, or slide it the other way and simply buy one outright.
In a de-centralized system, who pays for the infrastructure? The Government? Sounds to me like a subsidy program, really.
They're looking ahead. You'd be surprised how fast you can get something going when it's re-entering the atmosphere.
have you tried the insider-trading combo?

That a site called Always On has been slashdotted.
The sad thing is I do believe I read this as a textbook in gradeschool...
...in 1994!
Or just pay $50 to the neighborhood kid to install the appropirate antispyware programs and sit down with you to show you how to use them.

I don't think you understand what he was trying to say. He WAS talking about manually choosing remove/quarantine.
It's not like you can't still remove them. So just set them to remove...

I've had similar problems with Asus motherboards. Though I find Abit and MSI to be particularly reliable.
.. into believing everything you say...
Why does this feel so much like Jack Chick had a hand in this?

So THAT'S where all the tenths of a penny in my company's accounting software have gone!

Think how many people wouldn't know what to do to get on the internet if it wasn't called "internet" or "internet explorer."
