but I think it is a way for transmissions to get around NAT routers, perhaps even when both parties are using them and can only do outgoing connections. How it would work, I don't know.
If you want a computer to use in the office/school/dorm/whatever but also want one for home, is it best to buy a portable high-powered machine, or a cheap laptop and a cheap home computer? If you don't have $5000 to spend on computers, a good "notebook" or "desktop replacement" might be your best choice.
When I go off to college, I will occasionally want to take my computer back. Carrying a desktop machine home on the train? No thanks.
Repeat after me: Get a computer that fits your needs.
That means that once she is no longer a virgin, she is nodelocked to me!
Then again, that is already enforced in some cases, with shotguns. We must think through the terrible possibilities of our policies before making any such blunders.
Does a chameleon completly look like it's background? No, but it is good enough for most purposes. Although it would not be a "silver bullet" of stealth, it would probably be possible to blend in with a wall, or a desert, from a distance. If you are trying to totally obliverate a poor country with minimal effort, this technology may be for you.
Imagine a plane flying over a desert/plain/feild and seeing a human size blob of black, or a human size blob of the same colour as the surroundings. Which would be easier to spot? Then again, a nice camoflauge suit would be a bit cheaper.
Of course, any cloaking device would have a hard time dealing with IR scopes, unless it managed to somehow mask all blackbody radiation, which would probably be more impossible than the supposid metamaterials. This probably dosen't matter, because such devices don't seem to be in great supply. But still, if you are worried about them coming for you, paint your bunker walls with checkerboards, and install triplasers. Or a large dog.
Quantum mechanics generally include special relativity (for example, the Dirac equation). It is general relativity and gravity that is the problem. Speed of light being the maximum speed of information travel is accepted, as far as I know, in all QM. This is just one of those phase velocity vs group velocity things that pop up every so often here, I would wager.
What makes it Linspirey? I think it is just what everyone wanted, a version of Debian that is targeted towards home use rather than server use. No need to worry about what MTA settings to use, hostname, etc (as far as I know, I haven't had the chance to try it).
Is it worse than SuSE? If so, then I don't want to touch it.
It's true for nearly everything at Wal-Mart, and has been from the beginning, that prices are in fact higher. Walston, or whatever his name was, would sell key items below cost, and everything else far above cost. And don't you love it when they drop prices to get smaller businesses out of town, and raise them right after success? Capitalism at its finest.
Forgive me not being able to memorize the script...

Hmm... but wouldn't it be awesome to run BE on a cray?
Hmm, maybe. I personally doubt it myself. High impedence (Z) simply means there will be very little current draw. So if there is a high line connected to a high impedence output, little current will flow, while if it was just a low impedence 0 V out connected to high, there will be a lot of current. Sorta like just not connecting a line at all, compared to connecting it to ground.
Sure, I could spend the time to check it out, but why? Ronald has used CNet blogs to cover himself, etc. How do I know without investigation that the site is legit, and not paying him for links? I would rather not follow any links he is pushing than do work to check out his usually pointless links.
If this wasn't Rolland, I would RTFA. However, it sounds odd to say an exact 3d image. What is so exact about it? It's a digital representation of reflected light, not a clone. Sounds sort of like saying "an exact photograph" or "a real live stuffed animal."

I agree, great game. Can't wait for the third episode. Everyone with HL2, waste some of this guy's bandwidth!

That's because THEY don't want you to care about John Smith.

Here's a picture of one:
Pretty incredible, eh?

Or a bag of flour.
Marijuana is also nature's solution to slashdot karma, it would seem.
Also, some of us don't know the meaning of "Two Words."

If you are talking about burning karma, perhaps "Karma Komodo Dragon" would work better...

When they release "Linspirey Lion," let me know.
Some nerds know about biochemistry and how to make alcohol have a lower toxicity... and some nerds know about star trek.
Price (in $CDN) for HL2 bronze when I bought it:
Wal-Mart: $60
Electronics Boutique: $50
Staples Buisness Depot: $40

Ever heard of Occam's Razor?
Of course there isn't a big conspiracy. A oonspiracy requires more than one person, and it is quite clear you are singular.
You can buy a lot of ex-junkyard dogs for less than $10,000.

I hope that makes more sense to you than me.
