My N64 is still going strong, probably won't need to replace that for years to come. Who needs backward compatibility when I still have all the systems?

Vadim, very good points. I've found that the Console vs. PC arguement is similar to the Global Warming vs. Scientific BS or Evolution vs. Creationism due to most people have their opinion and no matter what is said they will stick with it. I do enjoy PC games like Diablo II, Command and Conquer, and Warcraft. They're fun. But if I had to choose between a console game or a pc game, it'd be console hands down. That's my opinion and you have yours.

You're right, Consoles aren't fun. It's not fun to get together with three friends for hours of fragging each other in Perfect Dark, beating on each other in Smash Brothers, or the oh so boring competition in Mario Kart. Instead I'll sit in front of my computer playing my MMORPG all alone. Sure there are hundreds of other people online as well but that is boring. Where's the smack talk? Where's the laughing? Where's the goofing around? Where's the fun?

I'm pretty sure my parents would rather have me sitting in the house not getting into trouble then wandering the streets bored outta my mind. Video games are also a release. 22. Tsunami Warning on 30 Second Earthquake Warnings · · Score: 2, Insightful

Scientists take a few minutes to make sure that there is actually the threat of a tsunami before they issue an alert. But if there is only 30 seconds warning before an earthquake may happen that doesn't give them any time to verify the occurance. Too many false alarms and people will start to ignore it.

  23. I've got it... on Directors Guild of America is Fighting Edited Films · · Score: 1

Why don't we edit Schindler's List. We'll cut out the Nazi's killing the Jews. The depictions of the naked, starved prisoners treated like cattle. The beatings and the abuse. That way all the little kids won't get sad when they watch the movie. Seriously, some stuff shouldn't be edited. If you go through and edit a film you could change the whole meaning. I don't buy the "I want it edited so my kids can watch". That's not a good argument. A lot of movies are made that children shouldn't be watching. When I have kids I'm not gonna let them watch movies like Braveheart and Pulp Fiction when they're seven. Those movies are for older people. That's why Disney exsists. They make movies for children. So to recap, if you don't think that a movie is appropriate for your children don't let them watch it. It probably wasn't made for them anyway.
