They already tried this with a mammoth and ran into some problems and this is with something that died a lot more recent and was in a lot better condition when found. I doubt that they will be able to clone something from this.

If someone can tell me how to make an acutal link I'd appreciate it.
I would imagine that you might run into some problems if you try to drive cross country in a CNG car. In the big cities I'm sure that you wouldn't have too much of a problem finding the special gas stations but in you are running low on fuel in the middle of nowhere in the mid west it might be a challange.
No, I think that they have a good idea here. Figure most people here in the US are gonna have the 4th off. Many more are gonna take the 5th of to have four day weekend. Hell, I think that's a very good day to release. The only question is, will I be able to play for four days straight? Gonna need a lot of coffee.
White Wolf still owns the World of Darkness series(Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changling, Hunter). I was a big fan of D&D until WoTC got ahold of it. 3rd Edition is okay but it's just not the same. I've switched over to WoD for all my RPGing. Plus, White Wolf has V:tES, a much better CCG than M:tG. I started playing V:tES and Magic about the same time and quit playing magic about 6 years ago but still play Vampire. Check it all out at http://www.white-wolf.com.
Are you implying that a big business would give money to politicians and judges to influence important decisions. Oh come on! This is America. Nothing like that would happen here. Big business looks out for it's customers. It cares. It wouldn't dare to corrupt the system with money. So lets take a minute to thank big business for all they have done for us.
I have to agree with this. Lets take a quick look at Armored Core for the PS and MechWarrior. Two games that have kinda similar ideas, but with a big difference. Ease of play. MechWarrior has a crap load of buttons to push. I feel that I need to be everywhere on the keyboard at once. But AC is easy. With the controller I can dodge those pesky missles a lot easier and boost off, land behind my foe and smack him upside his head with my beam sword. I find AC a lot more fun because of the simplicity of it being on a console.
I agree that consoles are better. I enjoy getting together with a large group of people every weekend and sitting infront of the GC playing hours of Smash Bros and Super Monkey Ball or the XBox(gasp) and Halo. It's great to be there with the people IN THE SAME ROOM as you while you are playing the games. I occasionally play online games but it isn't the same. There is just a lot more actual social interaction when you play games on a console.
And as long as the game is good who cares if it isn't the greatest graphics. Hell, I still play my SNES all the time. There are such great games for that console that it isn't worth getting rid of. I believe that Final Fantasy Three(I know it's a different number in Japan) for the SNES was the best in the series. I don't give a darn about the cool movies and stuff in the new ones. I play for the story and the enjoyment. I couldn't even sit through all of FFX. Just got boring too quick for me. But then again, I don't think that there is anything better than a good FPS. Can't wait for Perfect Dark Zero. Me and my friends are gonna play that one for a long time.
Why does everyone keep thinking that just because the PS2 has a DVD player that it's so much better than the GC? I know people that all they purchased their PS2 for was one or two games and the DVD player. Go out and buy a DVD player! A true DVD player offers many more features and is much more reliable that the PS2. Then go buy a GC and enjoy. The GC is just a pure video game machine. It's what it does and it's good at it. There, I've had my say.
Just my luck, I'd get a smart ass computer. The more frustrated I got with it the more it would act up on me. First it'd start running slower and slower. Then it'd give me a blue screen of death. Then when I'm about to kick the damned thing it'll start acting fine for a few minutes. Then it'll bring up nothing but/. Try to close it out but you can't. Nothing but/. forever. Oh the horror.
I can just imagine an archeological expedition thousands of years from now digging up an old garbage dump and what do they find? Tons of unwanted Episode 1 merchandise. "What a strange idol they worshipped":Pulls string: "Me'sa tink d'is a ba' idea!" They'll think we're morons.
How is using raw materials from space cheaper? You have to send humans or really high-tech machines to the moon. 1)Mine the materials 2)Create the steel beams 3)Launch the beams off the moon 4)Then put them in orbit directly for a satelite. This seems a little more expensive to me than buying steel beams right here on Earth.
I'm in the military and I can see it now. Giving us the pills for testing and having us work days at a time. They pay us 24/7, they might as well make us work it too. Maybe this pill is a bad idea. Or not. I'll be able to spend more time reading/. at work. Oh God please make the pill go away
I remember making a similar game during Pascal class in high school. Kinda pathetic I know, but it was a big hit with everyone in my class. Hours of fun.
Hey, thanks for the help. Let's give it a try.
You learn something new every day.

"Inside Webb's craft is a cavity filled with an organic liquid compound that contracts when cooled and expands when warmed"
It seems to me that sending an organic liquid to another planet could possibly be a bad idea. Wouldn't that be a bad contamination?
