India has rampant wealth inequality and absolutely no system in place to redistribute that wealth. Without that automation just hurts people. And I've yet to find a way to move to that idealized Star Trek economy (and no, violence doesn't work, it just devolves into a dictatorship when King Rat takes over. See China, USSR, etc).

Ted Kennedy was famous for opposing a wind farm near his beach house because he thought it ruined the view. I'm guessing he's not the only one. Sea side wind needs to not piss off the wealthy who own that beach front property.

If I want to blame the Republicans for something I've got multiple wars, the 2008 economic crash (though Clinton gets some of that Blame for starting the deregulation that led to it), our awful healthcare system, the war on drugs and all the horror it brings, decades of institutionalized racism being used to drive a schism between members of the working class so wages could be suppressed.

The Bernie Democrats (a wing of which is calling themselves "Justice Democrats") is trying to kick 'em out of the party. If you want to see the country move to the left you need to join 'em and get voting in your primary.
The point of it is to hide how hard it is for folks to find work and keep any discussion about helping them (which would be expensive) under wraps. It's part of a larger pattern of class warfare against the working class. After all, the best kind of wars are the ones where the other side doesn't know they're fighting.
