I don't know how much they had to pay for the good reviews of Bully, but it really sucked. Save your money.
Those $4 Burger King games are probably better...
This may be true, but I thought one of the basic tenents of contract law was that the contract must be mutually benefital.
They agreed to pay $17 for each share of stock, which at the IPO had a value of $17. It's not their fault the price took a dive.
Just because your new car loses a lot of value as soon as you drive off with it, the amount you owe the bank for it doesn't change.
You're being paranoid. Since these flights are sub-orbital, even if they did jettison something, it would not stay in space.
Once there's commercial orbital flight, we'll basically need space traffic control.
While I support this idea, is this really a problem? I have a hard time believing that even gadget crazy Japan is throwing away enough electronic crap to compare with the volume of everything else that gets thrown away.
1441 was only agreed upon by the security council because it did not include the automatic application of force by any country.
Yeah, the UN would hate to have to do anything as ridiculous as actually enforcing their resolutions. It's much easier to just keep bitching about it. How many people have to die under Saddam's bootheels before France decides that taking care of this problem is more important than their oil contracts?
I think it's a great idea. I know if I caught a great show, and as I'm walking out I could get a CD of the show I just heard for $15, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Bootlegging already happens, why not get a piece of the pie? Plus it sounds like a good way to maybe directly support a smaller band.
I'll just suffer on my 56K connection downloading good music like KMFDM, Bile, Juno Reactor, Fear Factory and Type O-Negative for free.
Or you could do something silly like actually pay for it, especially since you're talking about non-top 40 bands that could probably use the sales. I admit, I have my share of mp3's, but all my FF and Type O is bought and paid for.
You'd be upset too if someone was taking your money.
Like this cable ISP is taking my tax money by bringing in the FBI for this? Theft of service is wrong, however calling in the Federales before making any attempt to send them a stern letter or just disabling their account is a bit of overkill.
I believe they pay a set fee, probably similar to what a first class ticket or a charter flight would cost. Obviously nowhere near the actual cost of fuel and labor expenses needed to get a luxury 747 around the country.
It is of course a bit silly to point to "Bush and the Republican party" when it's clear that presidents of both parties have done this and will more than likely continue to do so in the future.
If a company sued someone for going public with an exploit, the first amendment might not apply. However, when we're talking $500,000 and 5 years in the jug, the first amendment most definately applies.
I'm not sure about the dead, but I seem to recall a little band called Metallica whose fame is in part due to bootleg tapes of their concerts. One could view bootleg tapes as the 80s equivalent of napster. Nowadays of course, Lars Ulrich is the RIAA's puppet.
From what I can see on the site, they have not (at least yet) set themselves up as a charity in the US. They call themselves a charity on the site, so they may dance through the IRS hurdles here in the states. I would suggest contacting them about it.
Free speech needs not be associated with destruction and killings. For this would definitely put and end to free speech.
So we need to censor this in order to have freedom of speech? It's either free or not, there is no "freedom of speech (except for that which is associated with whatever we decide we don't like)"

I'm DONE with ebay entirely. The fraud, their policies, and paypal crookedness makes it clear my money is better spent elsewhere.

That makes me think of Vader standing in front of a canvas saying, "Happy little trees."
The guy is luring people to the web site under false pretense and showing them content they didn't set out to see.
Tell me about it. One time I was researching goats on Christmas Island, holy crap was I lead astray!

It's not as important with newer batteries like Lithium ion as it was with NiCads.

Isn't the real big money in the broadcast bandwidth they can re-sell once TV goes completely over to HD?
And everybody's punched the monkey at least once. And how!!

How about a TI99/4A? Just make that and Parsec 2002 and I can die a happy geek.
I'll give you Fox News, but CNN? Right-wing? Have you considered getting your news from other sources besides left-wing biased web sites?

Is it just me or are the Citizen Corps reminiscent of the visitors youth brigade (whatever it was called) in the old miniseries V?
He was referring to DVD players, not CDRs.
