Did you miss the whole part about Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL) (bolded for emphasis) being the one who actually introduced the bill? It's bi-partisan. Everyone who's up for re-election needs something to get behind to deflect all that anti-war stuff.
At one point, you were able to download and play wow for free for 10 days before ever buying anything. I suppose since this is not available anymore that Blizzard feels it wasn't working. There also might be a sense of "If I bought the game for $45 then I'd better enjoy playing it for a few months." Whereby people actually wish to support the investment they made. If you do a 10 day trial and aren't hooked, they've lost you forever.
Sure, if the Linux computer has the hardware and software to do so. It's a Blu-ray disk meant for a Blu-ray player. A drive is not a player alone. It needs software to view the media. If it's not available for Linux, then you do not own a Blu-ray player.
The format is closed and the people who want to keep it closed have every right to do so. Just because you bought it doesn't mean you SHOULD be able to play it on a Linux computer.
Just makes me wonder if Kerry wins the election, will the Air America network survive with nothing to complain about? Or was this their thought all along?
1. set up liberal radio network

It's just an mp3 stream. You can use iTunes, xmms, windows media player and winamp for sure. I assume other players would work but these are the only ones I've tested.
I run a slimp server at home and stream to work. I had to add some code to knock my mp3s down to 128Kb/s on the fly since my cable modem limits my upstream bandwidth.
I mean, we have to buy new motherboards every couple of years anyway. Today's new pc owner only has a video cart installed in their AGP slot, a cpu and ram. Why not make GPUs socketed and just get rid of the slots?
Most other peripherals can be attached externally via usb or firewire.
Finally, infinite peace in the cardboard. It has for a long time to finally such a product in the mass-market appears lasted. The manufacturer will be able itself to hardly save from the many vorbestellungen. On the paper convincingly we wait technically already now on the first samples and price information. One might be now already clear however, the price far below all self's building Konstruktiuonen will lie, since Zalman is specialized in absolute mass production as well known 6 Heatpipes for the CCU and 2 for the graphics map as well as 10 for the non removable disk might keep the system optimally cool. We are pleased on it and now already say ourselves tschuess your exhaust and Krachmacher! Hopefully is soon Christmas: -)
Which one is to there still say, a piece of cream of the superlative. There I get damp eyes. Heatpipes (18 pieces!!) and radiator boxes up to decline.
Peace in completed form it a housing completely closed in itself is there. First PC the housing where one also the optical drive assemblies to dam and decouple can!
More is technically not feasible!
More quietly gehts not!
Starting from October over to refer www.alternate.de.
Thus begin now already strongly with saving.

good to hear. mine's only about 3 months old now. Remember when power supplies would just "work." Between 1993 and 1998 between mine, my family's, my friends and some customers, I hadn't seen a single unit fail. Now, you actually have to research these things and can't assume the one that comes in the case is going to be there for the long haul.
Totally, I still don't understand why the age old method of burning things in a fire isn't being used today. I mean, I am all for recycling but some things are more important to destroy.
Ok, I found this site: http://www.fec.gov/pages/faqvdayeprocedures.htm and of course I live in PA where they can be no closer than 10 feet which is tied for closest with NH. I don't know if it's 10 feet from the door or the mahcine itself but these people were in the lobby of a synagogue and the voting machine was like 30 feet past them.
Really? Like a federal law? I claim ignorance but these people were campaigning inside the polling location literally within 30 feet of the voting machine. Please give me info so I can hit them with a stick next time.
Uh, why would HTTP compression help? I thought modems already compressed data. Yes it would help clients without data compression but I always thought HTTP compression was more of a boon for provider since they would be conserving bandwidth. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Because Creative will come out with some kind of BS excuse as to why they can't make drivers for your 2 year old product that support your new OS or Game. They suck up cpu like nobody's business (Where are the audio performance benchmarks, anyway?) and well, Snap, Crackle, Pop anyone?
Since the article is slashdotted, is there some ratio of operations performed to bits downloaded? Would people with faster CPUs be able to download more music?

Viewing on Linux is fair use

Right, you are not up on your lore. In the books, it is the race of men, not the human race.
That seems like the logical step. What about devices such as camcorders that can format the media to FAT, will there be a fee for those too?

If she had enough shared music to attract the RIAA, then her hard drive must be bigger than mine. This is unacceptable... oh newegg....

China was about to impose a 1 IP address per married couple law.
I never understood that, especially since I knew a guy who could make a clapping sound with just one hand (and only one hand, you sickos)
I think you missed the point. The poster is making a statement saying that newly released MMORPGs are still in beta form.

- Those annoying people who try to get you to change your vote when you walk in to the polling location. Why do they let those people hang around?
Well I guess that's only one reason but I really hate those people.Uh, why would HTTP compression help? I thought modems already compressed data. Yes it would help clients without data compression but I always thought HTTP compression was more of a boon for provider since they would be conserving bandwidth. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There's only like 10 subscribers abd they are all CmdrTaco's family.
