He (or she) may well know the proper use of "you're" and "your," but sometimes our fingers betray our minds while typing. People make mistakes. Don't assume they're idiots for making them, or that they're incapable of teaching their children.
Why do you assume that homeschooled kids get no interaction with other kids and are far too sheltered? What an incredibly ignorant pressumption. If you can't see any benefit to homeschooling, by all means, toe the line.
Really. I read that Shatner and Nimoy, who both appeared at the dinner a couple of nights ago and appeared on stage to yuk it up for a while, both left before Scotty -- err, Jimmy Doohan -- and the rest of the original series cast appeared. I don't know what that's all about, but for crying out loud, you'd think they could've stuck around a little while longer to join him on stage, let alone show up for his star ceremony.
I will be paying for it. Typically, I can't stand MMORPGs that are all about grind, but ATITD2 has been an absolute blast to play in the last week, and I find myself spending all my free time playing it. I'm not sure that "grind" is the right word. You do stuff to progress, but I don't find it particularly monotinous. Unlike other games, where you kill and kill and kill and do little else, in ATITD2, you build, make items in many different ways, explore, farm, raise animals, trade, and there's a great variety throughout all of it. The game strikes me as much more social than other games as well. And you'd think the lack of combat (aside from duels) would make the game completely boring and uninteresting, but I quite like it. It's a very different and enjoyable MMO experience, and in my case, doesn't have the feeling of grind that most others do.
The monthly cost is a bit much ($13.95), but with much fewer players than the vast majority of MMORPGs, I can understand the cost. In addition, you don't need to pay anything to play except for the monthly cost, and there is a free trial if you don't get a chance to play the beta.
Who modded this twit up? ASUS is one company that offers barebones laptops, allowing you to buy many/most of the components seperately and install them yourself.
Reading the summary is hard, I know, but do try the title next time.
Knowing what you're talking about can be hard, I know, but if you don't want to make an ass out of yourself in the future, do try to do a little research before you take a shot at someone.
I wasn't a big fan of Icewind Dale 1 either (partially because I hated D&D 2nd Edition), nor the Diablos, but after having recently completed Icewind Dale 2, I have to say that I loved it. It was released a couple of years ago, but it's the best game I've played in a very, very long time. The D&D 3rd Edition rules make a huge difference, but there are improvements with every other aspect of the game as well (including story). It's still very combat-centric, but it doesn't feel like a chore. It feels like you're really working towards something. Give it a shot.
It seems to me that a lot of Weird Al's parodies have nothing to do with the original song except for the melody (ie. the lyrics are completely unrelated to the original song). So if your definition is correct, shouldn't Weird Al be getting sued lots?
Seems like if he were out to help, he should have responded with a tutorial detailing what is wrong with their site, and how to fix it.
You're kidding, right?
And if he were job hunting, the protocol is to create a copycat site in a password protected directory and email company bigwigs the site/password, while saying "look what your site could be!".
Like he says on his site, Odeon has refused to do anything about it for 2 years, when they very easily could have. I get the distinct impression that they couldn't give a flying fuck. That they're more interested in hunting after someone trying to provide a positive service that Odeon is unwilling to provide is unfathomable.
Their TOS neglects to state the condition the iPod must be in for this offer, so you're discussing exploiting a loophole or oversight and it is dishonest.
I feel like a moron for explaining this to you*. Any eight-year-old on the planet would know that sending Dell a broken iPod is _wrong_.
Going to have to disagree with you. I maintain that there's absolutely nothing wrong with taking advantage of their offer (in the literal sense, not the malicious sense). It's their terms, not mine. If you don't like it, don't bitch at me.
Switch to a different server. It ain't rocket science.
So because someone else is cheating, I should be the one who has to find a new server? And if there's a cheater on that server, I should find another server? And if there's a cheater on that server, etc., etc.? That's ridiculous.
Good advice, but when my test install went without a hitch, I was satisfied that my real install would go just as smoothly. I did manage to track down my bookmarks in the depths of my "Application Data" folder, however, so all was not lost, thankfully.
Spoke too soon. God damn me for breaking my oath to myself by not sticking with 0.8. I install 0.9 on my main PC, except this time I choose "Standard" instead of "Custom" install, and you guessed it... MY SETTINGS AND BOOKMARKS ARE ALL FUCKING GONE!!
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
The piece of shit carried my old IE bookmarks over, apparently unaware that hey, the user has Firefox 0.8 installed. Someone's neck needs to be wrung. And unlike with 0.9 RC, when I uninstalled 0.9 and re-installed 0.8, 0.8 doesn't work at all. The process sits there in Task Manager, but the motherfucker doesn't do anything. "Mmkay boys, let's make it so 0.9 transfers over IE's bookmarks by default -- even if it isn't the default browser -- then make sure that it doesn't transfer Firefox 0.8's settings, and then we'll fuck-up 0.8 so the user can't reclaim their settings and bookmarks once they realized they've just been reamed! MOUWAHAHAHA!! Alright, get to work, I'm taking the rest of the month off." I should've known better. I shouldn't have trusted those dumbasses after they fucked everything up when I installed 0.9 RC. Dammit, dammit, dammit!
Please pardon my homicidal, rage-induced spewage... needed to get that out for the sake of my cats sitting behind me; nine lives would've been several too few.
0.9 RC pissed me off by tossing all of my bookmarks and preferences as well. I was relieved to find that everything was restored when I uninstalled 0.9 RC and re-installed 0.8, however. Did you try this? I installed 0.9 on a test system (after swearing I'd be sticking with 0.8 after 0.9 RC shat all over my stuff), and everything went smoothly this time... but I've noticed almost no real changes from 0.8, so I don't really see the point.
I agree that Pinstripe is ass-ugly. Using Noia (which I prefer by far), the download window is themed.
Congrats HardOCP!!

It doesn't have to be maclicious though. Any idiot can come along and enter bad information in the Wikipedia without knowing it's bad information.

No, no, it should be SalWise Scamjee!

Trek IX was Insurrection; Trek X was Nemesis.
See, this is why I could never be a computer repairman. I'd spend half my time getting rid of those stupid-ass Jungle cursor/sound themes alone.
If Dell's terms say they'll accept any iPod, dead or alive, it's not the least bit dishonest.
I believe it's a Canadian company. The French live in France.
Maybe, but the artists have a choice in who distributes their music.
