If other people don't post their lists, how are other people supposed to know what others find original. If everyone found the same games original, then we could just have one person examine all the games make a list of the original ones and be done with it. The fact that different people find different games original is an argument for you posting a long list of games you find original not against it. Also, what's so bad about your list being nit-picked?
Those mentioning games that Moby doesn't have can register and submit the game. From the looks of things though, it appears MobyGames isnt interested in Homebrew games.
Except this is where it gets confusing because, see, those genes are the product of Monsato's hard labor, and here you are telling them that they don't own it.
I'd rather people take risks that come with their own rewards than creating rewards. It seems to me that I see too many created rewards and not enough inherent.
You're looking at pressure the wrong way. It isn't the zero pressure that's actually the problem. Its the pressure of the gas in the bubble. The same thing with human beings.
Also, all those browsers that have done URL completion for years will have to stop doing it, because it's also a (retroactive) violation of this patent.
From what I understand about this particular patent, this isn't true. Programs are allowed to guess a url, they just aren't allowed to ask about it more than once... The recent Amazon autocomplete patent however, maybe.
Because then they'd realize they could use it for things and in ways that don't make Microsoft money. As long as Microsoft maintains the illusion that the X-Box is only good for playing Microsoft approved games, it can make up the initial loss off the games, and the X-Box doesnt compete against regular computers, another Microsoft revenue stream.
I hardly call the understanding that paying $1 is better than paying a $50 parking ticket "respect for the law". Now if you'd pay that $1 even if there wasn't a $50 parking ticket, that would be respect for the law.
If you've deprived someone of something, you've taken it from them. You seem to be suggesting that you can deprive someone of something without taking it from them.
You can determine that some inputs will execute to completion. If you allow only the known completions, you can guarantee security from input that causes an infinite execution time.
They sleep for 12 hours? Wow!
That's Meddling kids... Not interloping adolescents, not silly kids, but meddling.
Also not to be confused with a ton of computers.

The previous post is an oxymoron. Everyone knows that a lack of social skills and stimulating conversation do not coincide!

Sure, shift the blame from the programmer (/* Programming error */) to the user(EUSERERR)
from Kingdom Hearts, where he changes his name to Leon.

Why must you insist that everyone have the same values and ambitions that you do?
Why mustn't he?
You have no right to judge how people live their lives.
Why doesn't he, and who's going to stop him? I'm tired of such claims.

You said that copyrights don't prevent you from applying ideas. The penny arcade situation is one instance where it appears it does.
So at what point does something cease to be "a little girl in a red and white dress", and start being a character?

So that Penny Arcade Strawberry Shortcake thing is just a figment of my imagination. O.K.

Who would you rather deal with, someone who will revoke your license if they don't like you, or someone who will DOS you if they don't like you?
But then, it's not like Microsoft's reputation is any different.
