    just as there are degrees to infinity. Most statements that are called semanticly meaningless can make more sense as a state machine that changes its state each time the statement is ran. for example:
    For "This statement is false"
    For no initial state the statement results in false, because the statement, initially is not false.
    For an initial state of false, the statement results in true.
    For an initial state of true, the statement results in false.

    Having an attitude that everything is terrible and having an attitude that everything is going to fail, and everything in your life is doomed. are completely different attitudes that often get lumped together. If you com at something with the attitude that something is terrible, then you have a motivation to do something about it that you just don't have while being happy, but if you think that everything is doomed you think that there's no point in even trying.

    But what if Extended Stay makes the claim that it is acting on the user's behalf to block Gator's ads, That's the claim that Gator is making.
    If Gator can make the claim that by the user's download of Gator, Gator is acting on the user's behalf in replacing Extended Stay's ads with its own, what is to keep Extended Stay from saying that by the user's navigation to Extended Stay, Extended Stay is acting on the user's behalf to block Gator.

    level competition, and who said the Iraqi army was doing the right thing. Essentially, most of what you are saying is that Microsoft is doing the right thing. Taking the ballgame away from Microsoft... Does Wine acheive that a little bit...There are other ways of taking the ballgame away from Microsoft than bad patents.

    Think about it and tell me where I'm wrong.

    just how different is a Plug-in from a DLL anyways. Microsoft has had DLL type technology for how long? Since QB 3 at least, but I'm not sure how far back that was.

    But a drive running at 7200 RPM at greater densities can be faster than a 10000 RPM drive at lower densities, and a 10000 RPM drive would be very fast indeed.

    Would you care to elaborate, and also explain how those 'other programming languages' aren't?
    While you're at it, go to this forum and try to explain to them how their favorite language reeks.

    Here is a good version of BASIC that appears to be free. Requires Line numbers but is very interactive. i.e. It remembers variables that can be manipulated outside of a program. You can load a series of programs and GOTO a line number to continue with the same variable values, or just load 1 program with all your routines and GOTO them when you want them. Google Search for UBASIC version 8.8 appears to be buggy but 8.74 is good.

    If you are being proactive, how about installing a crash reproting software similar to Bugtoaster on your machines. I haven't really looked at Bugtoaster's corprate offerings, but there should be something out there that reports all crashes on all machines to the NOC. (Though in acutality those things don't catch ALL crashes)

    The Windows versions of edit.com is vastly improved over the edit.com in older MS operating systems, allowing you to open 9 files at once and a weak binary mode, not to mention the ability to open fairly large files. You should check it out.
