Recieved it from FrozenCPU last week, its extremly quiet, and probably cut the noise of my PC in half. Also, the chrome and silver/black connectors look very clean. You can get a 500w power supply for a lot less, but it wont look this nice and probably doesn't have the performance (nobody ever reviews cheap PSUs). Its been running an XP3200+, 2 vid cards, 3 SATA hard drives, 2 optical drives and 3 fans without any hickups. Another review here.
Don't forget, watching a show while sitting in a couch in front of the living room is more confortable than watching the show while sitting in a chair in front of a computer monitor.
The days of 15" CRTs and motherboard sound are over. I have a 20" widescreen monitor, surround sound and a couch 6 feet behind my computer.
Unless you can get a torrent of a complete season at resonable quality, which you can, but its still a PITA and slow, TV DVDs aren't going anywhere. Although they need to work out there pricing. $20 for the first season of Chappeles Show (13 20 minute eps and tons of special features), $50 for a season of Stargate (about 22 45 minute eps, special features) and Star Trek and Farscape (22-26 45 minute eps and some features for $100). Theres such a range on all of these, they really need to standardize a pricing scheme.
If theyre using computers enough, kids will learn to type on their own however is natural to them. I BS'd my way though the typing section of 7th grade computers c&p-ing and having an idiot teacher, i won some certificate for getting severl hundred words a minute... Yeah, anyway, i dont type "properly", first 2 or 3 fingers on each hand mostly, but i do fine and have good speed with decent acuracy. My last job was data entry even. Typing classes suck and everyone hates them (except for mario typing tutor:D), but i think with enough general computer learning, kids pick up decently paced typing on their own.
I wasn't even a big enough nerd to get it right, i was mostly talking about a TV show w/ some really hot chicks in it. And for the record i've been getting laid on a regular basis for about the past year.
In the pre- Kindom Come mythos, Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle did have a daughter, Helena Kyle, AKA Huntress. This was the basis for a show on the WB 2 years ago, Birds of Prey. It was pretty good, but they banked on it being a hit like smallville and canned it after only one season.
Well, after 8 years or whatever they're finally doing Alien vs Predator. Maybe after that and after Batman Begins they'll do an adaptation of Dark Horse's Batman vs Predator. Wow, that'd be cool...
To everyone complaining about how bad Catwoman is, its not the DC character Catwoman! The woman played by Halle Berry is not named Selena Kyle, she does not live in Gotham City, and she has never even met this burce wayne/batman guy. It was just some shitty movie WB made that happened to be called Catwoman, now quit bitching about it.
The new Apple Displays have a 16ms refresh rate. Thats plenty good for gaming. I think there are only a few samsung displays that are quicker than that at 12ms... I bought a 20" yesterday.:D
If anyone doesn't know, you can put your tracking number for UPS, FedEx or USPS into google and it'll give you a direct link to their tracking service. Very handy.
You can get both on the underdogs. There was an article on here a while ago about a website that would identify old games for you, i'd lost the game to a reformat, but i put in a description and they told me castle of the winds. I was able to find it, and the sequil i'd never played on the underdogs,
Dell has remarkably good service. I bought a dell laptop from my boss last year who has purchased it at a sale at a university the year before that. P1, 64Mb ram, nothing special, but it was tiny. Anywho... so i got it, it was wiped, installed a copy of 98SE i had laying around, but a lot of things didn't work. Called up dell and they guy spent half an hour on the phone with me looking up sound, video and modem drivers for a 5 year old laptop that i'd purchased fourth party. Thats what i call service.
Had a Lan Party a while ago with 3 of my friends, i feel zero guilt for each of us chiping in $12 and getting the half life platinum collection. I can pay $5 and rent a game at blockbuster for my xbox and 4 people can play, but to have four people play CS and TFC like we did it woulda cost $200? Insanity.
I agree with this guy for the most part, but not downloading abandonware? If i'm sudently reminded of some game i played on my old 486, like castle of the winds, and i wanna play it, i would gladly pay $5 for it. But i cant. Where else am i going to get that game besides a place like the underdogs. Sim Ant, Paperboy 2, Castle of the Winds, all kickass games that i'd be willing to shell out around $5 for, but thats not an option, i'm not going to complain that they're free.
I just built a top of the line (but no where near near bleeding edge...) general purpose gaming/multimedia rig for about $4k with display (although that display is an apple 20" cinema:P). Athlon XP3200, 1GB Corsair XMSPro, DFI LANParty MoBo, AIW Radeon 9800, 74GB raptor and 2 250GB SATA drives, DVD ROM and DVD burner... You can build a decent rig for $1500, but bleeding edge will always be around $5k.
Go buy or rent Knights of the Old Replublic, and/or pick some of the Tales of the Jedi graphic novels, possibly avalible at your local library. Good back story on the sith and their beef with the jedi.

Lets hear it for, uhm, more than fair use. So are we liking the FCC this week now or what?

Back in middle school, using lycos picture search for porn. Bout the only thing its ever been good for...
Doc: I've got great news.
Steve: I'm fine?
Doc: No, you have cancer, but i just saved a bundle by switching to Geico.
Horrible, i know, but he's gonna be fine, so we can joke.

God, cant you people take sarcasm. I know its technically DC's catwoman, but its so far from the comics it shouldn't even count.
Well, after 8 years or whatever they're finally doing Alien vs Predator. Maybe after that and after Batman Begins they'll do an adaptation of Dark Horse's Batman vs Predator. Wow, that'd be cool...
(to left hand) "You had your chance!"

Needs a boobies section.

Mount it backwards in the front... "TURN YOUR GODDAMN BLINKER OFF!!!"
lamenessfilter, dont use caps, blah blah blah
Except individual computer components are FCC certified, otherwise thay wouldn't be user upgradable. They sell plenty of all plastic cases.
call the DHS on them. :D
