Cingular has the solution, but i dont know if verizon has anything like it. Its called FastForward. Basically, you plug your cell phone into this and it into your landline, if your cell rings, all your home phones ring, and you can talk throught them over the cell service. I dont know if any providers or third parties offer anything similar though.
The mambo thing at the begining when they're all in traffic. Its ok music and geeks who call will get an ironic kick out of it. Although (dont know how it got on there) but one morning that came up on shuffle on my mp3 player while i was stuck in traffic. I knew it wasn't going to be a good day...
Is a good place to start. Cowboy Bebop and Trigun are great series, and FLCL is simply amazing. Never really got into Inu Yasha, but Big O and Witch Hunter Robin are both enjoyable. As for movies, Start with the Cowboy Bebop movie, then Akira, Princess Mononoke and maybe Grave of the Fireflys. Also, all of Miyazakis movies (Spirited Away, Kikis Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky) are good if you dont mind things a little lighter. Thats a good start, and if your not into subs, most of the dubbbing, esp the stuff on cartoon network is done really well.
The uncanny valley thing really worked against the film as they had popular actors doing the voice. So not only did the characters seem not quite real (although if you dont pay close attention they do look amazingly human, especially on a small tv) their faces looked nothing like the actors whos voices we asociated with them. Like you said, the characters were to flat to get over the voice thing, your sitting there continually reminding yourself that its not Ming-Na, Alec Baldwin and Steve Buscemi. A good animated anything (show, movie, short etc) should make you forget the actor asociated with the familiar voice, but for whatever reason Final Fantasy coudn't acomplish that for me.
GitS is suposed to be one of like the top Anime films, i picked up the dvd for that reason, not the first in my collection, but i got it pretty much just to have it. I liked it, but it was kinda boring in parts (not as boring as metropolis though, what a yawn fest), probably didn't help that i had the flu and a 103 fever when i watched it, but anywho.. I Agree, the CB movie is much better to introduce someone to anime, that or maybe Princess Mononoke. I'd recomend Akira as a second film.
Speech for profit (advertising) is not protected by the first amendment. And especially not in your own home, on your machine, with your bandwidth being used. Also, you are correct, no one forces us to install this software. It does it itself. I'm sure there are people out there that use the features that bonzai buddy or anything have to offer, but do you think they searched and activly downloaded it? Joe and jane user were probably like "It just appeared one day, isn't that neat."... People who run around putting stickers on bus stops and street signs can be charged with vandalism. How is this different?
There are plenty of car sterios on the market that have a standard 1/8th" stereo jack, or even 2 RCA jacks, to connect any device, with probably better quality than a tape interface (which i use with my archos).
Sir, those series in question, do not, and have never existed and I suspect your high on dope. Please refrain from ever mentioning The Ewok Adventures(TM), or Droids Animated Adventures(TM), as neither exist, also, please refrain from mentioning a certain Holiday Special(TM), that doesn't exist either, ever again.
Jeez, lighten up, its a Simpsons reference, CABF04 - Homer vs. Dignity
Smithers: Sir, I have a small personal request.
Burns: Oh, of course, Smithers. Anything. [repeatedly
pushes a button marked, "Trap Door"]
Smithers: I disabled the button, sir. [Burns keeps pushing it] Anyway, I need some time off. As you know, I've been writing a musical about the Malibu Stacy doll--
Burns: [gives up on the button] A show about a doll? [laughs] Why not write a musical about the common cat? Or the King of Siam? Give it up, Smithers.
Smithers: Actually, sir, we're booked into a small theater in New Mexico.
Burns: Whoa, slow down there, maestro. There's a *New* Mexico?
You'r mostly sorrect, but you forget that the xbox still has functions avalible when you boot up without a game disc in. You can change the output characteristics, change Live settings, even rip cds to the unit. Its not much of an OS, but there is something on there past firmware. Cant speak for the PS2, dont have much experiance with it.
Its called a flywheel, and they do exist, but theyre not usually practical. As a sibling poster pointed out, it'd have to be heavy to store any kind of useful energy, and then if you bumped your case, it goes off kilter, tears through the aluminium and takes some poor kids head off. I dont think anyone wants that.
I know this!" Oh, other Jurassic Park references?
(and before anyone replies, i know that the 3d file manager for irix actually does exist...)

many universities require students to reside in campus housing for at least the first year, many for 2 years.

Yeah, to bad the show got canned before they could get around to what his deal was. "How's a preacher know so much 'bout crime?"
Yeah, i think it won some award too...

That's freak me out too, running into a giant penguin between the bar and the porno shop...

Ive e-mailed google suggesting a jabber based G-IM client. Never got a real reply back though.
They should just run all the 'great' hacker movies. Hackers, wargames, takedown, sneakers, etc.
Even Jesus didn't like Creed anymore.
The log thing isn't so far fetched. Ever see a car vs tree? Tree always wins.

Theres a New Mexico now?
You missed the point. Dick was SecDef under dubyas daddy.
Western Digital has a thing, but it clips to like the whole back of the drive and blocks the SATA power connector so you have to use molex.
You should mention that, didn't Microsoft say they were dropping nVidia for ATI in the Xbox2?
