I actually own a copy of Vista something or other curtesy of MS reps in Denmark giving it for free after a presentation at our university, never bothered to get the DVD iso since it turned out that my motherboard isn't supported by Vista and never will be. And I'm not going to upgrade my computer as long as the current keeps ticking.
But since they now have claimed an actual number haven't they both said they know exactly how much and what infringes? Aren't they supposed to send C&D letters asap or face invalidation of those patents? And since they know the number of OSS products violate patents won't that mean just about everybody else gets a get out of jail free card?
Ohh and this only applies in the US and countries that bend over, a quick fix is to move all source to EU, the land of the free.
I remember being bullied back in the days of 8th grade, I got fed up with it and kneed the biggest of the guys in the groin. Two things happened, everybody got to see what he had for breakfast and the bullying stopped.
Uhm, it is non-proprietary and somewhat free to distribute, just not in the US. The MS codecs are reversed engineered and recoded, thus only thing preventing you from using it is patents, and thus the US is fucked. The reason why Debian and Ubuntu doesn't include them is the US crowd, but I think Ubuntu has changed its policies with feisty fawn.
Here in Denmark we have our public TV online already, and that plays on all operating systems, although linux is still playing in a lower resolution than under windows. All it requires is installing mplayer and getting the mplayer MS codecs (they are legal in EU).
No, doing it with divide and conquer as the gp suggest you need 7 tries. But the original problem states two marbels, so I would probably try divide n conquer with first marble till it breaks, then do a linear search for where the second one breaks (somewhat like B+ trees).
You are the second one I see make fun of this, and I fail to see why this is funny. If your database is used primarily for looking up stuff and seldom has inserts/updates, it makes perfect sense to dump your tables and reloading them once in a while in order to speed up sequential reads.
And once again we see why more and more people are resorting to piracy. Legal users pay for the content, but still have to sit through ads - or even warnings about copying, while illegal users gets to see the movie ad free (sans stuff in the movie) and they can skip directly to the movie.
Don't know about the general population, but I had no idea about that until people mentioned it here on slashdot. The CDs are in the CD part of the store, then I assume it is a CD. Same goes for DVDs.
After the first World Trade Center bombing people were still thinking like you. But after 911 most people realized what you still haven't: The threat is real and it can get MUCH WORSE. One suitcase can drastically change those one-in-a-million odds. The probability of being the victim of a terrorist in the future isn't calculated by dividing the number of victims in the past by the population.
Go live in a fucking bunker and let the rest of us live a normal life! I am so sick and tired of people talking about the terrorist threat, so many more get killed in traffic each day than terrorists attacks each year (in western countries).
You are only saying this because of two things, one you play the game, two you see this as only an opportunity for cheating.
If I buy a copy of a game, I should be able to do whatever the hell I please with it (except stuff that brakes the law). Them putting in an EULA telling me what I'm not supposed to be doing is as far as I know unproven in a court. Changing stuff in RAM shouldn't be illegal, just think of people putting marks in a book in order to faster read it when looking up something - thats not copyright infringement, thats just common sense.
I for one haven't bought a mainstream CD since about 2000, I don't do music piracy, most of the stuff I listen too is played online (and I pay for membership there) - the rest I get from the bands that play in the bar where I work, when buying directly from them they get most of the profits.
Yeah, I have actually heard them and Ive seen advertisement with fine print, they did that for a time here in Denmark (the small print thing) on mobile offers. Then our consumer watchdog went in with a cane and wouped the phone companies around and said it had to be clear what you where getting in to or they would be fined.
We pay high taxes, most electronics are more expensive than the US because of more warranty (you can't buy any electronics in Denmark without 2 years of warranty). But in return we get a fairly civilized society. We do have our drawbacks, but as it is right now Ill take Denmark over US (used to be the other way around).

Uhm.. You get more than double. aabbcc != Aabbcc != AAbbcc etc.
Shouldn't that be question mark? question mark?

How come Sweden doesn't get on that list? I mean they harbor the biggest tracker, and they got a pirate party. I call hoax!

As far as I know a lot of our shows get shown on foreign TV.
As a sibling has said, what the hell do you know?

So we should get fatter and stay in the sun longer?
;)
Guess mortality rate will stay at same levels then

Searching on my name returned 48 results, does that make me the new Antichrist?

The US have a .us tld, .com is commerce...

I for one would want something different than killed by flying chair on my tombstone...
Since you don't have the key to sign the lists it will take just about for ever until that happens - or the key gets leaked.
Or perhaps the issue was fixed in a branch, but for some reason never got committed to the main trunk(s).
Actually Britney Spears is a pretty good image of how fucked up our lives are.

You know, if your kids are able to pull all that off they damned well deserves some boobie pictures to look at.
Back when I was a kid the trick was to balance on top of dads office chair standing on my toes in order to get to the porn stash.
