ClearQuest is bug tracking (like bugzilla), ClearCase is versioning (like CVS or Subversion)
Totally wrong group of tools.
On that note, I happen to be in a RedDot training class as I write this... Their tool (while not free) is super easy to use. I am traditionally trained in Documentum.
One pet peeve is when people condsider things like Nuke or SlashCode CMS systems. They are really just blogs in my opinion. Not nearly as sophisticated as a real CMS system.
Really easy, really simple. Just use remote desktop and connect back to your home machine. I have been doing this for years and works fantastic. Not to mention it's an easy way to bypass any corporate website blocking too..
I use moveable type at my http://www.quarterlifeliving.com/ blog... I tried WordPress (cause its free) and didn't meet my needs at all. It was way to simple. What I love about movabletype are the plugins, using the BigApi (or something like that, can't remember now) which allows you to modify almost ever UI component. I then using Ajaxify http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/plugins/plugin/ajax ify.html to get a AJAX wysiwyg editoring.. Tons of plug-ins come out all the time.. I love it.. Check out all the plug-ins here http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/plugins/all.html
In this excellent work, Pulitzer Prize-winner Kidder (The Soul of a New Machine) immerses himself in and beautifully explores the rich drama that exists in the life of Dr. Paul Farmer. A Massachusetts native who has been working in Haiti since 1982, Farmer founded Zanmi Lasante (Creole for Partners in Health), a nongovernmental organization that is the only health-care provider for hundreds of thousands of peasant farmers in the Plateau Central. He did this while juggling work in Haiti and study at the Harvard Medical School. (Farmer received his M.D. and a Ph.D. in anthropology simultaneously in 1990.) During his work in Haiti, Farmer pioneered a community-based treatment method for patients with tuberculosis that, Kidder explains, has had better clinical outcomes than those in U.S. inner cities. For this work, Farmer was recognized in 1993 with a MacArthur Foundation "genius grant," all of which he donated to Zanmi Lasante. Using interviews with family members and various friends and associates, Kidder provides a sympathetic account of Farmer's early life, from his idiosyncratic family to his early days in Haiti. Kidder also recounts his time with Farmer as he travels to Moscow; Lima, Peru; Boston; and other cities where Farmer relentlessly seeks funding and educates people about the hard conditions in Haiti. Throughout, Kidder captures the almost saintly effect Farmer has on those whom he treats.

Yeah, Xtify doesn't have a browser dependency. It has a Blackberry dependency. And only three other phone types are in the release schedule.
Actually, Xtify's supported platforms: Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, iPhone make up only 90.3% of the smartphone market.
This is nothing new, this was tried a couple years with a company I worked called Joltage http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/03/30/144020 4&tid=95... Subsequently failed: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/02/16/214625 9. Perhaps the dotcom bubble is back...

Yea.. I decided it was a bad idea to have my pics site on slashdot so I put up a redirect...
Hmm, on second thought, posting a link to my gallery on slashdot might not have been the smartest thing i've done today...
If anyone cares here is my gallery: http://pics.jeremylevy.com/
Nice rip off from OS News
Can someone exlpain what UMD is?
Wow, talk about going back on their word. Anybody remember of GRC.COM had this concern before XP came out? He did all the yelling and screaming that he could and MS just laughed at him. Guess he gets the last laugh.
There is also this great ad from Honda I think all but one little part is real.
I highly recomend reading Mountains Beyound Mountains: Health the World: The Quest of Dr. Paul Farmer
