We're going to take some camera phones and dSLR, we'll use the lowest common denominator features and resolution and we'll show you that camera phones are just as good as Canon's latest pro-sumer dSLR.
Well, no fucking shit sherlock.
I can show you that my old Voodoo 3 is quite compareable to the Geforce 8800GTX when playing Quake at 640x480.
Could be easily solved if Google offered a good API and mechanism for importing plugins. Missing some features? Check if there are open source plugins or maybe some closed source ones that you can buy for micropayments.
One thing they didn't mention and i think is going to be important is more malleable environments. I think this trend was mostly started by HL2's Gravgun, and we're going to see some significant advances in physics and materials in the next few years. The two best examples i can think of right now are the upcoming Crysis and Star Wars: Force Unleashed. Sure, attempts like Red Faction didn't do very well, but i think it's time.
What i would like is some kind of unified interface for communication.
I was thinking about this while in the shower the other day. It would be pretty nice (probably not to privacy zealots who don't allow cookies and such) to have one account which routs all forms of communication to you. For example, instead of giving each person or organization that needs to send you mail your current address you just give them a meta-address and the mail gets routed to you whenever you change your physical address. And you could have nifty features like aliases that are opaque to the sender, blacklisting, setting up certain media to trigger other media..
I fail to see the point of this, i just checked Wikipedia and apperantly GeForce 3 series supports DX8. I doubt anyone having older GPUs is going to be able to do much with any Source games anyway and would not be anywhere near the target audience.
This is somewhat offtopic, but if anyone is interested, here is a series of video lectures on religion and atheism by some prominent scientists: http://beyondbelief2006.org/ I especially liked Vilayanur S. Ramachandran, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Sam Harris, and Richards Dawkins is always nice to hear although he does manage to sound a bit pompous even to an atheist, must be that accent. =P
While I'm at it, I'll include a short overview of my own beliefs. I'm an atheist. I define anything in the world as natural and therefore the supernatural does not exist by definition. If there is any consciousness having powers so much beyond that of humans in the natural world that you would call it godlike, i have seen no evidence to its existence, and even if i did, i see no reason why it would merit unquestioning worship. I think that a major part of religion is the belief that there are some things that are in some sense universally special, as opposed to personally special. I don't really care what other people believe as long as they don't try to impose their beliefs on me (and we have quite a bit of that here in Israel). That's pretty much all i can think of at the moment.
First, you're assuming I'm talking about the US. Second, there's no reason why you couldn't have regulation against tyranny of the majority without a bunch of demagogues doing the voting. And third, doesn't seem like your guy cares that much for that Constitution. Not that many countries, including the one i live in, have trouble doing things that are similarly bad.
On the bright side, the latency of someone on Mars playing against someone on Phobos isn't that bad. According to google: (2 * 6 000 kilometers) / the speed of light = 40.0276914 milliseconds Which is better than what i get playing with people in the US from Israel.
Is this can work securely, how about just letting the people vote on laws? Getting rid of the middleman, so to speak. I always thought voting for some guy who might have ideas that might be more to your liking than some other guy's is far from 'democracy'. And how about some sort of incentive for people to vote on laws, like tax returns?
Since... different batches of plastics had... different aging results... then there must have been a difference of additives between them. Since when does Shatner do reports on old hardware?
I was thinking that too, and there probably would be an algorithm for the program to find the correct orientation for you. But there would probably be objects that can't be oriented that way, like this cup oriented the right way and having a handle you can't print added to it. I think the best solution (if glue is not an option) is using some other temporary material that can be melted at a lower temperature than this one, or when interacting with some chemical.

Or the exit, depends on how you look at it.

It's teh aliens!
They don't want anyone to find out they eat people's brains while on the plane and replace them with evil clones!
Next time you're thinking of flying somewhere, try walking instead, it might just save your delicious delicious brainses!
Surely, you mean Empress Hilton's new clothing line.
So when do we get our brain-to-internet linkup and form the noosphere?

Or you could point to their website which has all the sessions for that matter:

Yeah, only you can't send physical items over email.

I think it's more along the lines of 'Final' as in Final Fantasy.

He can't sue Wikipedia, so he's suing the next closest target.
Sounds like Fuzzy Logic to me.

So they can test Google Global Domination *Beta* and have a say on which features get added next.

By the looks of it, if they went commercial they're the ones who would be charged.
How else are they going to listen to 'Monty Python - Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.mp3' while waiting for the results?
And it should be named Duke Nukem Forever and Ever: OMG Ponies!
...said Frosty Hardison... He's just in denial of his impending doom.Heh, you forgot to highlight his name.
He's probably named after the Biblical Frosty the Snowman
