Well if you had read the article you would see that it stated.
Article 1 of the Geneva Convention's Protocol on Blinding Laser Weapons has laudable aims. It states, "It is prohibited to employ laser weapons specifically designed, as their sole combat function or as one of their combat functions, to cause permanent blindness to unenhanced vision."
But Article 3 opens the door to lasers that blind so long as that was not their aim. It states: "Blinding as an incidental or collateral effect of the legitimate military employment of laser systems, including laser systems used against optical equipment, is not covered by the prohibition of this Protocol".
I thought non-smoking cars just got rid of the ashtray and lighter itself.. the cigarette lighter port is still there, but capped off with something else. So you would still be able to use that port for power.
They probably won't go the TiVo route - TiVo would rather see a standard digital cable descrambler, usable in many cable systems, then one for each market.
Wait a sec. I thought Tivo just sold licenses for their technology to other companies and didn't actually build any of the hardware they sold. Isn't that why Tivo boxes are made by Sony, RCA, etc. and not Tivo? So I would think they would love this kind of setup. Every company that makes cable boxes would have to pay thier license fee and they don't actually have to pay make the boxes themselves.
Some would say Windows is just a Mac with a command line. So does this mean that with OSX Macs are now the same as Windows?
Aren't sweeping generalizations fun?
Man... my ass feel asleep duning FoTR. No matter what they do the seats in the theatres there just isn't enough legroom to stretch out to keep comfortable. Though I am looking forward to the dvds because its so much easier to watch a long movie while stretched out on a couch
That's true, a teardrop design (with a flat bottom) is the most common design for producing lift. The question is, do you want your car to be producing lift? I seriously doubt that having your car lift up when you are driving fast, thereby reducing your traction on the road, is a good idea. That is why spoilers on the back of cars are designed to produce downforce, not lift. If you did a fully rounded teardrop, rounded on top and bottom it wouldn't produce lift, but how are you going to design a car that is rounded on the bottom as well as the top?
Ok since it seems no one got the Simpson's reference, here is the song from the episode titled Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala-D'oh-cious Its from Season 8 if anyone cares
Cut Every Corner Shary: If there's a task that must be done,
Don't turn your tail and run,
Don't pout, don't sob,
Just do a half-assed job!
If... you... cut every corner
It is really not so bad,
Everybody does it,
Even mom and dad.
If nobody sees it,
Then nobody gets mad, Bart: It's the American way! Shary: The policeman on the beat
Needs some time to rest his feet. Wiggum: Fighting crime is not my cup of tea! Shary: And the clerk who runs the store
Can charge a little more
For meat! Apu: For meat! Shary: And milk! Apu: And milk! Both: From 1984! Shary: If... you... cut every corner,
You'll have more time for play, Shary & OFF: It's the American waaaaay!
If you were a vulgar person, then it wouldn't bother you I suspect.

I have the DishPVR and I'm sorry but if you press the record button on mine it just records the current show you are watching and stops at the end of the show. Not quite sure why your's doesn't but maybe you should call their tech support about it and get a new unit
If this trend continues, radio will be truly dead to anyone with taste. Only bad bands will consistently make the top 40 and the RIAA may well decide that top 40 band are the only bands worth producing.
Hmm. You say this as if it weren't already true. Most of the stuff I hear on the radio around me is standard mainstream music. Not that I have anything in particular against it, but you just don't usually hear any small bands get radio play.
Yeah you are right. Its much better playing in front of the tv. The graphical improments are nice, but they aren't so much better that it makes it worth playing it with a keyboard and mouse. It's just so much easier to play with a dual shock. So I'd agree with you on the second part, if my monitor was anywhere near as big as my tv then it would be worth having it out in front of the couch, but until then I'll just stick to the PS2 version:)
Sheesh. that was the scene with the most horrible dialogue in the entire film. I wanted to shoot myself when Lucas had 3po unload that giant brick of cheese. I mean, one pun would have been fine, but that long string of horrible puns was just too much IMHO.
Umm ok I don't get it. Its a hybrid vehicle obviously designed for people who like sports cars. Sports cars never have back seats, or if they do they are so small as to be all but unusable anyway. So if you want a family car, don't buy a 2-seater.
But Star Wars came out 2 weeks after Spider-Man in the United States too. Are you saying its a 4 week delay? Otherwise its no different from the release schedule here.
Man I have to agree with that.. during the obi-wan fett battle I was like.. umm why is he not using the force at all? He easily could have shoved him down or whatever, but he never used the force at all except for the really brief attempt to grab his lightsaber back. And why can they not use the force when piloting? I would have thought he could have easily shoved that homing missle into an asteroid with the force... hehe.
Different strokes for different folks or whatever.. I personally found the gameplay of super smash brothers rediculously repetitive and boring.. I was bored with the game after about 5 minutes. Luigi's mansion was entertaining, but I don't see any replay value. I could go on, but everyone likes different games so there is no point in arguing over which is best.

you don't even need a nameserver for this. Just add some redirects in a host file.

Your challenge today is to build a giant Space Sweeper!! Capable of cleaning up the entire orbital lanes of the earth!
$2.56 as I have no idea who Mr Knuth is.
but the problem with that is the PS2 won't read your burned dvds or cds for data unless you modchip it

Amazing... since I recall this post showing up in another story about a week ago. He must die an awful lot.

Wouldn't your battery life be even worse if they had made a backlight for the keyboard?
actually. I think all the stormtroopers were CG. In every scene they were in.

can you say hell a few more times in that rant? I don't think you quite got the point across ;)
At least he didn't say mayonaisse on fries.
