I bet I could chop out 3/4 of any book you choose and still tell the basic story as well as these minisodes do. We don't have time for any of this character development crap, we need to get it down to 100 pages.
More and more places are putting the card reader on the customer's side of the counter, so the cashier doesn't even have a chance to look at the signature on your card. Sometimes the card reader will ask you to show the card to the cashier, but I've never had to do it, and never even tried to give it to them.
Well, it depends. If there's two very nice handwriting selections, and one ugly illegible one I'm sure I can identify the illegible one as my own. But how similar are the alternate choices going to be? If the list was long enough and contained examples close enough to mine to provide any sort of security, I doubt I could pick out mine quickly or accurately. I'll acknowledge that there are people who are very good at identifying writing styles, but I'm not.
If the film crews can take their pictures without getting in the way of people going about their business, they should be able to do it without a permit. If they need to close off streets, block access and put up lighting equipment, scaffolding and cameras, then they should need a permit.
It's not the recording industry that's complaining, it's the record store industry. They think they have an inherent right to their position in the distribution stream, and they're already upset about Amazon and Walmart stealing their business.
On the other hand, they said the big draw of the Apple II was it ran Visicalc. So they recognized its importance, but not enough love for its own spot on the list.
I was worried how I was going to afford a PS 4 in 5 years or so. Nice of Sony to tell us that the PS 4 will be completely unneccesarry, and all I have to save up for is the PS 3
Seems like every line of toy had something that would shoot. And then a few months later, someone would sue and they'd stop selling the one that shot. Was really annoying
The USGS is an organ of the United States government. You're right that it should be answerable to its employer. Its employer is the people of the United States, not Mr Bush.
It sounds like the BBC got it wrong. None of the quotes from Microsoft say Zune won't play PlaysForSure, they all say that other PlaysForSure devices won't play content specifically bought for the Zune.
More like the coffee shop has newspapers available for customer to read, and this guy comes in to read the newspapers but never buys anything.
Rude, but not exactly illegal.
Because these stories aren't so much about important accidental discoveries. But interesting accidental discoveries. They wouldn't draw as much interest with
Polyethylene - Discovered during petrol purification. Now used everwhere
Polypropylene - Discovered during petrol purification. Now used everywhere
I initially had this problem but upgrade to the latest weekly (build 8455) and it now works fine. (The page is still ugly, but its ugly on all browsers)
But if Word has ODF support and Word has text reader support, then ODF has text reader support. Users with disabilities can open all the ODF files they want in Word and use whichever of the plugins they need to view
the documents.

Don't underestimate Fox in Socks, that book is brutal.
Do we have any ammunition to go after the real problem here, people like "the informant" that hire the spammers?

Zelda teaches you it's perfectly alright to smash people's jars, boxes, pumpkins and pretty much everything else that will break.

Best bet is to eat an egg salad sandwich from a vending machine in a filthy truckstop bathroom.

The best option is to watch a supernova while cooking a foil jiffy-pop container in the microwave.
Don't worry, this will come right out of your checkbook as tuition prices go up.
