I'm assuming the bittorrent would be very fast because of the limited content. A LOT of people will have what you are looking for, and they will always be serving it, not just when they are downloading it. Realtime streaming is pretty pointless for the effort it takes but if this works I can see you downloading at twice the time it takes to watch the show.
About the channel surfing. All I can say is that it is a dying habbit. At this point you should have a PVR of any kind with 2 tuners that you schedule to record all sorts of crap that you will channel surf through the downloaded stuff instead of hoping to find something you like before its too late to follow along in the show. Surfing is still important, its how you find new shows to record, but you dont plan on watching them when you click on them.
Just so we're not arguing different things, this is grandma's tea i'm talkin about, I dont mean a 5 minute break with a microwave packet. I mean heat the kettle and sitting on the porch sipping it slowly.
I dont know much about torrent tv, can you get most of the shows from one source? Are they catologed pretty well? It would be a quite a difference if someone just wrote a BT client that could be controlled via remote so you can pick your programs to download from your couch, then go back to watching some other recorded tv. Recording TV from a computer is rather frustrating the inconvinence of having to sit in front of a computer to download TV makes for impatient users.
If this platform takes off with the geeks then the content will be out there and the geeks will make a knoppix distro that you control with a remote. Now all grandma has to do is buy an E-machine at wallmart, pick up a supported remote and plug her computer into the TV and internet. Pick up the remote, subscribe to some shows and drink some tea while she waits for the shows to stream in.
So I buy the collectors edition right? it has all the marketing hype on the back on a peice of shiny paper that is tacked on with glue. The rest of the box is all themed out except the stupid little ESRB rating on the front.
It was supposed to be an omage but they way I butchered the punchline just kinda made it sad. And really I did not steal my sig. I just saw it on someone else and made a copy.
Getting slammed on this though, I'll promise to link any more quotes.
What about the monopoly NPC's have over souldbound items? These NPC's are screwing the players over because of their GM given monopoly over these pieces. At the very least these venders can sell back the items to the enchanters, however I have reason to believe the venders work for the defias brotherhood and other shady organizations. I will sell grey items it a vendor and suddenly they will appear on the corpse of a monster that I had just killed after leaving the town.
NPC vendors are aiding and abetting terrorist and must be stopped! I welcome the "opposing" faction to swoop down and destroy these tyrants and liberate use from our evil oppressors!
Get one of those dirty bombs people have been talking about and set its timer for a good 300 years. Shouldn't be too hard to set a time up for that and it doesn't even have to be too accurate, just make sure it ignites when the power is lost. People will take notice of your radiation and be very interested to see what you have once it becomes safe to explore. Gotta be carefull and pick a place that people would actually notice, who knows what the population will be in 1000 years, maybe 1/100 of todays, figure a busy seaport, those should always have some traffic. That or what one of those 7 wonders, probably a non man made one in case someone gets political and tears a few down to make a point.
Lets seee... NY income tax should take enough from his local income that his local tax would give him food stamps and free healthcare. That is of course unless they both want their cut off the top, what is that... %30 in the $150,000 bracket?.
Logitech did work with immersion in making the force feedback mouse. A failed little device that I probably would have liked if I could use it as a left hander.
Google news is still beta, it generates no revenue for google, there are no banners on google news. Of course google benefits greatly from this feature but there was an article on a certan blog about google not quite sure what they will do with google news because if they take it out of beta and begin making money from it then they will be liable for stealing other peoples news articles. But it implied under US law that if they were not making any money off it then they were no different then a blogger. Which now doesn't make sense to me because private party is certanly different then a corporation. Anyone else renember this article? about 6 months ago or more.
You bring up a great point, why the hell dont they give you a cancel button when you call 911, the phone would be instantly picked up and you are given the option to enter a code that you dial in to cancel the call while you wait on hold for an operator to pick up. Then you can make the number public.
Also they should have a call transfer for non-emergencies. I dont know of a 3 digit number for non emergencies but it sounds like it would take the same amount of work as the 911 routing since it is relevant to your location. Putting that option to forward to non emergency while waiting for emergency would be great too. These options work best only when operators need it most. If there is only a 3 second delay picking up and is not enough time for the caller to cancel then obviously the call center isn't very busy, but i've heard stories of 5 minute rings when there is no disaster occuring.
The only reason I can think of that this hasn't been done already is because nobody is willing to admin what an awfull shape 911 is in.

The shiny part is usually on the inside anyways so its pretty safe to assume they turn the sheilds around.

I thought its all bittorrent. At the point where its on a bootable CD installed in everyday homes. The bandwidth will be there.
Uhh no.

Except this patch doesn't include the battlegrounds, just the honor system.

I once wrote an article, showed it to a magazine and they said it was good but I have rewrite it if they were going to print it.
Fuck that, i'll just use a copy machine.
Please tell me when you find someone to vote for so I can vote against them. I'm sick of my fucking license plate being stolen for the tags.
gives me time to sharpen mine.
Make your customer service more accessable then MAPS customer service so they reach you before them. Then there is no complaint.
But if you are complaining about MAPS service when the issue is YOU not responding in an approriate time window.

I now pronounce you as unqualified to operate telephone. Nobody is going to buy your laptop with the AC/DC transformar built into the case.
But yes, I belive it is absolutly impossible to run 500 watts at 12 volts for any application. I hand crank my car for this very reason.
Fucking office gnomes stole my boxes in the night along with my UPC.

Dont forget church wants 1/10.
You should get married, get a tax credit.
Dont get a divorce though.
Is that a home your trying to build over there?
Yea, dont fuck with capitolisim, do stuff they dont like and you dissapear while they rip your hair out and knock your teeth in.
What was in that black box that powered your car Tesla? Is it out there right now?
Maybe someone just needs to fess up. They can market it with a GPS that tracks how many miles it travels and charge the owner.
You dont NEED DRM to keep that safe. Just put some explosives in the box that will blow if the owner tries to steal whats inside!
We wont mind, we finnally have free energy, sure, not free as in thought, but free as in freedom.

Not a fair comparison at this point, WoW is still in beta.
I didn't think he'd notice.
Your new around here arn't you?
Would be nice if they gave out the source of vbrun dll. Seems almost possible at this point.
