I use Debian as my fulltime OS, but I still rely on a Citrix connection to a w2k server box for administrative tasks. If a user needs to change their password on the NT network, I have to go to NT user manager and do it there (or walk over to a NT server). Unless there's a unix variant of usmgr.exe and srvmgr.exe that I don't know about I have to keep this setup. Also, I get Outlook mail via citrix, but I'm considering switching to Evolution, so that I only have to get into Citrix when someone requests a password change, rather than being in it all the time to check mail.

Perhaps the broad sweeping categories like 'Networking' should be off the front page. I like the main page (www.linuxquestions.org) format better with a list of recently answered (or asked) questions. The more condensed information on the front page, the better. That way, if say, someone learns that ssh has a new vulnerabilty, someone would post the answer, and others who visit the site could see that answer at or near the top of the last recently answered questions list. Also, I would like a link to the most popular questions (by percentage viewed or modified) for each category and maybe even a scrolling list of the questions last asked. My 2 cents...

I agree, definately science needs a Grand Unifying Theory; it's been a long time coming. You're right, cause and effect are valuable tools to reduce theories to their simplest levels, however, ordered nature systems are a little off-topic for theories of dark matter. You can't blame scientists who research for research sake - too many valuable discoveries have been made to exclude sciences that aren't human-centric.

  20. quantum matter on What If Dark Matter Really Doesn't Exist? · · Score: 2, Interesting
Perhaps scientists are looking at dark matter and the universe incorrectly. Looking for 'matter' in 3-4 dimensions (light, heat, matter) when judging the weight of all matter and its relevance to the size of the universe. I think until we grasp that all that's seen and measured as a way quantifying a 10-20 dimentional universe, we'll be stuck at a dead end. Perhaps the 'matter' in the universe is a small portion of it's quantum octuplets in different dimensions, parallel universes, and infinate possiblities all rolled up in a 11 dimensional quantum state. Empty space may be just and 'place' in a super string soup that isn't actually empty but an infinately wide probablity of being any possible particle at any point in time. Seems like this could provide a little extra 'weight' to dark matter.

Swealtering heat? No worries. Rat and mosquito infested lagoons? My virtual player has no problem handling these problems as well as easy to fly planes, boats, tanks, missles, and any other coded interface. I'm rambling now but I hope I never see the day I face a robot as it's scanning my iris and pupils during an interrogation of whether I love it's creator or not.
