That really depends on how many politicians each side has in their pockets. RSA is a pretty powerful organization and I'm sure they have plenty of politicians in their pockets to fend off any attempts to outlaw one of its products.
Your best bet in landing a job is in "Requirement Writing" sector. These guys make a lot of money and they seem to be in demand. Every programmer documents his/her code and unless we are talking about big companies like M$ or IBM you can't afford to have a field of API Techcnial Writer. We are a Java house and we document our API using, guess what? JavaDoc.
My company is hiring a requirement analyst/writer wright now, two of them in fact.
TAXES, SURCHARGES AND REGULATORY FEES ----------------- Description Amount FEDERAL TAX = $2.13 STATE TAX = $6.22 CITY TAX = $3.75 911 SURCHARGE = $0.50 STATE ENHANCED 911 = $0.20 UNIVERSAL CONNECTIVITY CHARGE = $1.37 TOTAL TAXES, SURCHARGES & REGULATORY FEES = $14.17
I can understand the 911 charges and they seem reasonable but it seems that everyone wants their cut. The city, state, and the feds want to take me to the bank.
The first thing I do when i am at someone else's house and I login as guest is change it to Win2000 look and feel. All i was trying to say was that the default look and feel is horrible.
Google has become synonymous with internet searching. At all level of educational institutions you will learn about it and you will no doubt find it useful. Microsoft might be the default but its search results leave much to be desired.
Google has captured the marked and has cornered it. It's interface and features are unbeatable. Only Google can beat Google. If they start plastering adds all over their site and their links become commercials then I'll certainly look for an alternative because it is no longer useful.
XP usability sucks, and was that background image god awful or what?
Sun's desktop looks like really great. We'll see if they can convert corporate customers, governments and educational institutes. They have to support it though. They can't just sell it and have nothing to do with it.
You are a lover not a fight if you can't play Tekken. Seriously, there aren't any fighting games that require as much skills as Tekken series. If i can't pummel it, juggle it, chicken it, pile drive it, and super combo it, it ain't worth playing.
Jokes aside, I like complex games because they make you think. Coming from science/engineering field I find challenging games more fun. Personally I think games are dumbed down and repetitive. I'm looking forward to Half-Life 2 because it is definitely going to be complex and entertaining. If Doom 3 is dumbed down, then it ain't for me...my little brother will probably enjoy it though.
What is not important you might be important to someone else. Your car is important to you but it is not to me. Frankly, if some trashed it I wouldn't give a rats ass.
I think you need to reevaluate that last statement you have made.
investing time and money and enjoying yourself are not mutually exclusive.
I rent movies and I'm entertained while watching them. Now according to you if the dvd skips a few frames now and then I'm not entitle to go back to the movie rental place and ask for either a refund or a exchange for a disk that works.
The game company is providing a service and is operating a business. The have obligations to you as a customer.
As for my emails, i pay them to host it and to keep them secure. I can certainly keep a local copy but what happens if that disappears? I'm going to revert back to my emails. If they disappear from their server then, by god some has to pay and it ain't going to be me.
Lets say I pay yahoo a service fee $30 for 50MB mailbox. Any important email I get, I store it in an important folder. Now lets say yahoo somehow deletes my account. Shouldn't they have some kind of mechanism of: 1) Verifying that I am the rightful owner of the account and its contents. 2) Retrieve my account from their backup system?
I think this is a perfect analogy and really think the gamer will win this case.
This guy invested over two years of his time and money playing and collecting items. This is analogus to my email provider losing all my important emails. I would call them up and say, hay you lost all my important emails and I want them back. I expect them to respond and get all my emails from their backup system. If they say we are not going to do that then you bet your ass I'd sue them. It is not my fault they lost them so why should all the responsibility fall on me? They should have adequate system in place in cases like this and so should game developers/publishers.
First ask weather a person wants to vote. A simple yes and no will suffice. Next ask, if they really want to vote, again, make it a yes/no question. Then make them choose a randomly generated picture on the screen. Finally get take the MD5 of that picture and based on that calculate the probability of them choosing a certain candidate using genetic algorithm. If you are not familiar with genetic algorithms, a simple ini-mini-myni-mo algorthm will suffice.
Note that is how California does it and if it good enough for California, by god it is good enough for everyone.
I'm I supposed to be excited about this? The only people drooling are the OEM and resellers. There is nothing new here so compelling that anyone aught to go buy Windows Longhorn.
Having an MBA is a state of mind. I mean he can go anywhere, any company and they'd pay him whatever he asks for but he went with his heart and he is determined to get that MBA that isn't worth the piece of paper it is printed on.
I never bought anything from e-Bay because there is no way to gage the trustworthiness of the person selling me the goods. With an online company you can at lease look them up on the web to see if they are legit. If they rip you off you can always sue.
I really can't fathom why anyone would buy anything more than $50 dollars on e-Bay. Big ticket items should never be bough in an online auction.
Assuming this trial is going to be a Jury trial, how could they expect a sane person to side with them? If I am a wall street trader, I'd take my money from SCO and bolt. This truly defy common sense, but then again we are talking about SCO here.

My cable bill shouldn't look like this.
If it wasn't for that horse I wouldn't have spent that year in college.

Take Quake 3 game play elements, slap the new Doom 3 engine on it and vula. There you have it...Quake 4.

This is insane.
