Well then, I believe it is ok to kill adults. Please do not stop me because you don't agree.
At some point we all impose our beliefs on someone. Thats what government is, a collection of ideals and beliefs from a collective group. That group may be large (democracy) or small (aristorcracy, communism, etc..).

"Right now it's considered to be a low risk because we haven't seen it reported to us from a customer," Network Associates' Gullotto said.
OK, so how did you guys get it? Must have been internal then.. anyway, my conspiracy theory.
I agree that motherboards will have fewer lines and thus be simpler because of the serialization of parallel lines. However, the serialization means that higher frequencies will be required for one wire to do what many parallel wires had done before. The result when moving to higher and higher frequencies is more cross-talk on the lines that are left. A good example is Rambus. From what I hear, there are lots of difficult issues with the cross-talk on the narrow bus.
Yeah, I'm sure that it takes Microsoft another two years to add themes... There are alot more changes than that. Although by no means comprehensive check out the following links for more details:
You may want to look at how XP is alot more compatible with old programs than you would think. Also, you can now group multiple instances of an application together on the toolbar (I know its cosmetic). You can switch sessions from one person to another without logging out (memory hog!). There is alot more going on than the UI change.
Can I make illegal digital copies with this cd?
-No.
So, I CAN make digital copies with this cd?
-Yes
How are these different. If the technology limits digital copies then what is the difference??
Can I bypass this stupidity by adding a DA-AD conversion to my digital copying?
-Most probably, yes.
I guess, but that would be the same as recording the CD from via analog methods through your soundcard to your PC and we all know this is not quite the same. Although quality is pretty good still. Also, anytime you have an DAC->ADC then there are quantization errors and the copy is not quite as good. My 2 cents..

hmm.. who was the only other person born without original sin? Jesus. Well what happens when we recreate that in lab? Maybe nothing, maybe not. Makes you think.
Well because people don't like to be nickel and dimed for stuff. As the post mentioned I don't want to pay $0.0076 (exaggerated) for an article. I be more inclined to pay for content if it was bundled like the cable companies do. However, for an online "subscription" I would also expect much more quality.. so turn on your spell checkers:P
The appeal of online radio is diversity. As we all know all the little radio stations have been bought out by conglomerates. The result is a homogeneous environment of pop, classic rock, and rap on the airwaves leaves out more than a few genres. I love to listen to techno music and metal on the Internet. With tens of thousands of radio stations on the Internet I have alot more choice and have discovered many bands which I would not have heard otherwise (bought their CDs too). I highly suggest you check out Live365 then perhaps you will see the marvel that is online radio.
I would like to at least hear some proof besides no it doesn't.. yes it does.. come on.. I agree with original poster quake did introduce mainstream programming and modability as well as kick the 3D accelerator market in the ass. Come on, before that there was the 3D decelerator known as the virge.
Well its too late for my friend Daniel. He is running 2000 with IIS and his site was already hacked. A reactive position like Micrsofts is not a very good solution. Yes, Daniel should have been running Apache on Linux (like me) and since this was a personal site he didn't loose too much, but backdoor passwords are simply retarded in this day and age. Microsoft should know better.
Well the mod points are kinda sporadic. I haven't had any in forever... Now all of a sudden I have mod points and I think.. use it or loose it.. so I use it, but I still use it somewhat wisely. I bet alot of others are thinking the same. If I knew I would get mod points on a regular basis, like an allowance I would be much more frugal. However, if they are given out and taken away at random I tend to be more of an easy sleazy moderator..;)
Well, we all know Compaq reverse engineered the first PC clones, and that was legal. Microsoft created J++ in a clean room environment which was legal reverse engineering. But now the DMCA is out which says it is illegal to reverse engineer. So I don't know. Precedent says yes its is legal to reverse engineer, but DMCA says no. Personally, I think people should be able to reverse engineer. I guess we'll see.
Well, this article is quite inconsistent. The author starts out saying that Doom recommended a 386, but ran like a dog. So he went out and bought a 486/66 which barely ran it. But then he applies minimum numbers for comparison on all the other titles against his P2-350.
I ran Q3 on a Celeron 450a (oc'ed 300a) with a TNT2. The game play is very good, but could be better.
What I want more processor speed for is multitasking. I like to re-encode mp3s, compile programs, download huge files, edit sound files, and surf the net without the system bogging down. So I can't say that I'm satisfied. Also, as several people mentioned encoding Divx stuff faster would welcome as well. At this point it takes about a day (P3-700). Bring on the power!
What they need is a big ol' electromagnet wired next to their hard drives.. then when the police come busting down the door.. *zap* no more data. Quick and easy to. No sledgehammer required.
True for most. However, if you purchase from buy.com (books, cds, movies, consumer electronics, computer stuff) they include the return postage! So if you don't like their stuff then by all means send it back! Now that *is* convenience. I order from them all the time. Between them and barnes and noble I can avoid ordering from amazon.com. I do that on principle because I disagree with their 1-click patent. Voting with my $$:)
Um... I'm sorry, you can rant on hackers|crackers|script kiddies all you want, but Maximum PC is not for posers. So you take CS classes and you think you rule? Right... well good for you for taking CS classes, but Maximum PC is a fucking bad ass magazine as far as computer mags go.. if you don't like it then I suggest you read PC computing.. thats the alternative.. and it blows goat balls.
