    VirtualBox - simple and juz works - only remember about host and guest extensions

    Company use where you have ample funds for support:

    VMware

    Very few actually believed. Many were forced by opportunism and fear. Most never believed but hid it deep.

    In Eastern Europe communism was brought with Red Army and KGB.
    Elections were rigged, opposition killed or sent to gulags.
    Not a single country but Soviets intended it.

    Actually communism was very much like fascism - the only difference
    was that fascism killed on the nationality/race basis while communism killed on purely ideological basis. Anyway results were similar - millions dead.

    You are just spreading FUD - like hardcore Windows users... I took me a few days but I love GNOME 3 now. I am switched completely. I was able to convert a few from Unity/other to GNOME 3. They all stayed with GNOME 3. And I am Fedora user.

    I agree that handcoding is better unless it is a simple project that can be done by someone internally... Reading and analyzing WYSIWYG page is a PITA... And versioning and analyzing past changes in WYSIWYG is a PITA++

    Question is how rich is your organization? There are corporate tools like HP uCMDB DDMA that keep the configuration database updated, detect changes, scan your networks etc... If you do not have money - look for Configuration Management tools - this is what you are looking for. If you totally lack money - use something like SVN/git etc.

    Pretty pathetic article... prof. Zimbardo goes for sensation instead of science... Just like popular culture starlets... Looks like the first victim of porn and video games is quality of research of prof. Zimbardo... I prefer videogames and porn to drugs and promiscuity of the 70s... not mentioning gas chambers and mass rapes of the 40s ..... I could similarly argue that TV was killing socialization. Or before TV - movies (no need to talk to a girl - just eat popcorn).

But the poster above will not buy used games so he will not buy a new console so he will not buy new games either! PS will go down even faster in the result... Presure from smartphones and tablets is already drowning them... this will be one more stone in their pocket

    Use extensions and gnome-tweak tool - probably you can fix your problems with the right extension.

    Initially I was also rejected by GNOME 3 but now after adding a few extensions I just love it and it is the best desktop I ever used.

    Also hacking is relatively simple javascript - I hacked so my dock is always between my screens (I have monitor on the left at work and on the right at home).
