My first thoughts are 'this is great'. Google claims "don't be evil" so it better live up to it. Money corrupts a corporation and since they have gone public that has been called into question. I have an android phone and i happily let Google track me, i let them keep my email, my photos, my digital life, the least they can do is put out something like this. This map is not for me though, its for the average Googler who doesn't fully understand how Google collects and keeps and uses personal data.

The only reason Censorship is around is cuz of Right Wing, conservatives are afraid of change. God forbid a child read a book about a kid who can make things float. Censorship is really about control, someone had decided that an idea should not be shared with other people and thus they take it upon them selves to control that idea. An idea could be anything, a book, a word, a movie, etc,. I am a firm believer that Censorship in any form is bad and hinders creativity. The DMCA is one of the biggest acts of Censorship I've ever seen. "NOPE! This here DMCA cays you can't publish that report about anti-copy protection!" common guys, step out of the box for a sec and look at with relevance Censorship has. and i'll tell you, it has none
Doom III can run on a pretty shitty system pretty good. i got the alpha version of it. i turn off AA, and OC my card from 250/400 to 275/450. my system specs are AMD XP 1700+ OCed to 1.5, 512 MB DDR 266, (2) 40 GB HDs, GeForce 2TI, and a Sound blaster audigty. i run it at 800X600, 16 bit color, and everything else set to low or mid. i get a frame rate of about 25 AVG
i got an XP 2200, 512DDR PC2700, and a GeForcec 2 TI (ocerclocked from 250/400 to 275/445, and i can run it the game @ 800X600 medium detail and I have not gottan and FPS lower than 20
i guess i just have my maching configured right or something

this sound more like something the gonvermnet would be doing instead of some company. imagine the advertisement companies, you walk in front of a star-bucks, and a pop-up for star-bucks coffe pops up, and the same for gas and what not.
it raises the question of which is better knowing where you/your labtop are Vs. personal privacy.
