I own a z61t and the only cluter on the keyboard to me are the sound up/down/mute keys, but only breause I don't use my self. But as far as the keyboard goes, I think thinkpads have the best laptop keyboards hands down. I can be using desktops, other laptops for a month and no matter to which thinkpad I sit down to, my fingers are always at home.
You forgot the 4.50$ in taxes, that would get ontop of that. Well maybe not that bad:)
As far as I know tho, Bio disel in Germany unlike regular disel, or gas isn't taxed. That's done to promote the greener fuels (and basicaly subsitize them). Read it, in one of these fancy airplane magazines, while flying back from Europe, you know the ones that try to sell you random stuff, you can get way cheaper on land.
Not the biggest lover of Apple (the company and Jobs, not the products). But I really thought they did some good things with the ITunes store. WTF is wrong with the music lables, they have an effective distribution system, that works today better then their own POS services they tried, and they are just trying to kill it. It's not like they aren't making a killing on it right now.
Personaly, I hate the expensive (and usualy crappy movie food, I like to eat well and somewhat helthy). And second of the majority of movie theaters don't serve alcohol, nor let you bring it it. Being of age, I'd love to be able to enjoy a pint of Guiness while I'm watching a movie.
"FreeBSD has always been the operating system that GNU/Linux-based operating systems should have been."
Can it get anymore flaimbaitish than this. Ironicaly enought it comes from I.B.M developer works.
P.S: Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I guess i'm the only one who kind of just skimmed the topics and read: "Crack Found in Shuttle" instead of "Crack Found in Shuttle Tank". Well so much for useful experiments in space.
Acctualy, a lot of music I hear in clubs, that I couldn't find in stores here in the US. Or what you can hear on your radio station sometimes past midnight on the weekends, when they're broadcasting @ a club (at least it seams to be the trend on here in the area on the pop stations). I was able to find on P2P networks, and I also found a lot of new artists producing electronic music, that I never heared of.
And polish music (let the jokes come), Kazik, etc..., (for those in the know), stuff I wasn't able to listern to since I moved here.
Guys I like Apple's products (now the company is a diff. story, and please don't try convince me). But can we please stop pimping every single little apple product, 5 times in a week. Thanks.
Wow that's great news, I have been holding out from getting a LCD for a while (well for a couple reasons, and that solved one of them).
I have been a happy Samsung customer for a while now. A couple years ago (2.5 if I'm correct) I bought their 900IFT 19" CRT. It was defiantly pricey, although it was it was discounted because it being discontinued. It's a wonderful monitor, and I don't regret paying for it what I paid. I've gone thought a two 19" CRTs before that, one died 3 times (and shipping cost probably 1/2 of the price of it, and took 2 months to get it back), other degraded in quality within not even a year. This one has a beautiful bright flat CRT screen, extremely vivid colors. In the instruction manual they even provided instructions to setup your XF86Config file (with the right mode lines).
I've recommended them to a lot of friends, and I know one other friend who also go the 900IFT and has been satisfied with it. When I get next monitor, it'll probably be a Samsung LCD.
I mean this is how GNU started by writing applications to replace unix applications one-by-one untill they go a full GNU OS. While a whole GNU os hasn't happen yet, because it's missing a kernel (don't tell me about hurd), there is GNU/Linux.
Fix one thing, some one else will complain about something else (rember the font issues, now they are fine, so people just bitch other things X). I guess this is/. and everyone is an arm chair critic.
Personaly, I find the UI fine for doing all the jobs that I need to get done (granted it's not a lot). I'm sure it could use a little more polish, since the 2 series you can link multiple windows into one anyways.
A new way to get support on slashdot; diss your fav OSS app, and a hord of slashdot monkeys will fire up google for you, will have your answer in seconds.
It's better than asking, "How do I...?", since otherwise everyone would be GVFG (go visit fucking google).

Well, has hasn't been enforcing his trademark so I'm pretty confident he doesn't have a case.
Glad I'm not the only one.

You'll get OMM killed faster, than you can read the line "welcome to linux".
Or ugly characters, if your using a distro without a recent Xft and freetype.

Slashdot has been going down the tubes, ever since these windows users have been alowed to have accounts.... Or more like the past 3 years.

IMO Apple isn't really a charity.
Virtualy he'll be able to retire.
Congrats fellow slashdoters, we are the biggest creep magnet on the net.
