    I believe that the federal goverment would benefit greatly if they gave control of this new network to the Open Source developer community. With their great foresight, analytical skills and quick response, the Open Source developer community would be able to design a self-suficient network model. This would lower costs drastically and speed up the binary transfer of kernel updated throughout the western sea-board.

    Only when we support the Open Source developer community can we deploy a nation-wide 33600-baud national access system like AOL.

    I think the movie industry would greatly benefit from having the Open Source developer community revise some of the directorial work done by Spielberg. Their astute observations, work ethic and creative would greatly aid the work he made in projects like "Jaws", "E.T." and of course "A.I.". The Open Source developer community could contribute many new special effects based on JPEG-animation, Ogg Vorbis sound quality, and Open Source The Sims acting directives.

    You raise a good point, MagLevs do use energy a lot more efficiently, but there is still the need for raw energy to either cool down the conductors to minimize resistance. And we're decades away from superconductors at room temperature, regardless how promising the latest Germanium molecular lattice looks like.

    They could raise solar panels along the tracks which could also serve the purpose of keeping things off the track.

    Did you try installing some physical RAM into your machine? I personally use only 32-pin SIMMs with all my production servers.
