    PS. I agree,, GET A REAL COMPUTER!! i've been PAID to take old 486's off of peoples hand's, and given lew end pentiums for free... there is NO reason to use a 386,,,

    I got that one in 98 a couple times,, had to use a boot disk,,, Try topping this tho,, In XP, i got a dialog that asked me if i would like to "Cancel, or "Abort" lol :)

    You can usually disable this in the cmos settings,,, either set keybourd installed to disabled, or keyboardlees mode enabled,, or on older PC's,, set the HALT ON: to none and that should let it boot without displaynig that message, every PC i've looked at has an option like that, except for some really low end IBM machines,,,

    However,, i need my phoneline, and so does the rest of the family,,, if you add in a second line, i'd be paying about $50 a month for dialup,, which is more than their highspeed service,, even more than the cable companies (who are also too cheap to provide cable on my part of the street,) charge!!

    I'm not sure about other countries,, but i live in Canada, and all the cell towers in my area have fiber connections, and i live in a small 2000 pop. villeage...

    Or, you could be in a situation like me,, where the area i live in prevent's a line of sight for a bell satillite, and bell Canada is too cheap/lazy to put in DSL facilites,,, so i'm stuck paying Sympatico (whad'ya know, also a Bell company!!) $20 or so per month for Dialup that i couldn't download a gigabyte on it i left it running 24/7 all month!!

    Also, you must remember that the people at the phone company are b@stards!! i live in a mid sized town,, about 2 km from the swithching staion place,, but the *#@)#*@ phone company just doesn't want to upgrade their facilities...

    Anyone whose gonna blow that much $$$ on a toy like that should be able to afford a new keyboard/mouse, printer, etc. to go along with it,, and if not, they shouldn't be blowing the mony on it in the first place! right? right!

    urmm, i'm hoping your being sarcastic there, Toronto has somewhere between 6 and 12 major hospitals,, then there are the smaller ones,,, and i'm willing to bet that quite a few places in america have a hell of a lot more than 3 muggings per week...

    Actually, there's quite a few pharmaceutical companies in Canada, however, just not the name brand ones like in America. and really,,, since when does # of pharmaceutical companies decide whether a place is a city or not??

    We did small version of this in grade 9 science, along with burning magnesium, etc. and one example exploded in a student's face,, and he managed to singe the ceiling with another... My Gr. 10 teacher explained in detail how to build large pipe bombs,, somehow, i really don't think they care about our softer anyways,,

    and this is yot another case of Americans thinking that they are the centre of the universe, and that everyone else is clueless, and inferior to them, and could never know anything about them,, because you don't know anything about us... I live in Canada, and when i'm at the airport, i see at least 10 people get of most planes from America wearing parkas et cetera, in the middle of summer, expecting to see igloos everywhere! i'm not saying that you fall under this catergory, but quite a few people from your country do...

    My computer, with an AMD 1700+, drops from about 43 celcius, to about 36 celcius when i take the case off,,, (about 50 c down to 43 c at 100% usage)
