No built in support for turning MP3 to bookmarkable AAC's.
Convert the file to AAC (done with a right-click on the Windows version -- make sure you've set your Importing Preferences, 96kbps mono works well) then rename the file to filename.m4b. Now it's bookmarkable and speed-adjustable (well, the speed only works on the iPod).
it was common practice to arrive at the theater pretty much any time, watch the last part of the movie, then watch the first part and leave when you got to the part you walked in.
Kind of like jumping into the middle of a Slashdot conversation and inciting flamewars by replying to others' comments, then going back and reading the blurb to find out what the hell you were arguing about.
Um, the gas station managers are being absolute morons and he's taking advantage of it. He said his change is only $5-$6, so it's not like he's buying a candy bar and getting $49 in change. I'm glad there are people out there who do this; not accepting moderately large bills (and at a gas station, no less; everyone complains about high gas prices but they don't take large bills) is oppressive, inconvenient, and semi-illegal (since they have to give the gas for free when they refuse legal tender).
If it's easy to opt out of a system of identification, then no one who is serious will use that system. If your gov't wants to track your movements (or whatever you think you're up against) they're not going to use easily-circumvented RFIDs, they'll use biometrics.
Kind of?? There are more similarities between these two players than between successive generations of non-mini iPods. If they put it in a similar box a lot of people won't notice the difference. It's practically a twin.
walking into the grocery store and finding the generic products that do about the same thing next to the name brand ones.
For many of those products, namely medicines, the original creator has a patent that lasts many years before generics can be produced by other companies.
first poach!
You confused dyslexia with redundancy.
I believe that was the breast option.
Perhaps that's why your other post was modded -1 Redundant.
I'd rather see more ubiquitous power outlets so I can at least watch a movie.
Microsoft cares about winning and their strategy is control, whereas Apple also cares about winning but their strategy is making a good product.
Well there's Emusic.com which has vanilla MP3s, but like other sites without DRM the selection is very limited.
"Sanitize" sounds like having the X extension preinstalled but requiring several more clicks.
Somethings wrong with Slashdot -- you're posting on the 4th day of the 22nd month!
The point is that the cartoon can get the point across to a different type of audience, particularly the ones who want bigger and better MP3 players.

It's in his left hand and people shake with their right.
