I think the same has been said of text adventures, and look at all the nostalgia and hurrah those games stir now, because they were a great idea to begin with. Sensory deprivation can be just as good as stimulation if you use it right.
I might say the same thing if I was not building and supporting a free firewall. I have been RTFM'd by the best of them , but these guys mean business and so a good job for an easy-to-install, solid piece of software. In other words, if you have a question, you'd better have a real problem, not simply a need to learn usage. It would be different if these guys were a bunch of dumbasses, but they make a decent firewall.
So really, if you want to use Smoothwall, better read hard or get a thicker skin somewhere. Perhaps that's good advice for the rest of us anyway.
There is nothing remotely offensive in this game - it is easy to play and flat out fun. Most importantly, you support the indie game dev community when you buy it at Garage Games

Someone thinks what was funny? I personally subscribe to the conspiracy theory that M$'s Java VM broken for a while to steer people to ActiveX. A Windows Update "bug" would not be beneath them.
I have noticed that multicasting can be really slow if your switch or hub doesn't support it, which is why I think that you really might want to look into seeing if your hardware does support it. I found a nice free testing program called UDPMulticastTest at www.mycgiserver.com/~skybuck. That guy makes some fantastic free software.
Here's how the test works: you make a connection with UDPMulticastTest on 2 computers - you specify what port you want to use. Then you see if you can sniff any UDP traffic on that port. If you can, then your switch/hub is forwarding unrequested traffic to other ports on the network. If you cannot sniff it, then your hardware is in the clear, and your multicast server problem is due to something else & you'd have better reason to abandon it.
why don't you go see the movie? it's not like you're going to get a comparable experience when your viewing field can be measured by inches as opposed to feet!

Apparently Fluffy cares, and she's gonna break out the can on your pants the next time you VNC into the office.
I use Ghost for making server images, and while Reiser might be fine and well, you can only make an image of that in a raw, sector by sector form. Ext2 and Ext3 work very nicely however, and I can keep my Debian installs compressed to fit on 1 CD if I need to.
Anyway, it has nothing to do with which is a better file system, but I'd say that the practical matters drive most of my IT decisions, and since Ghost is by far the easiest and least time consuming product of its kind, Ghost's demands drive my Linux setups.
I write with Ultra Edit, & can vouch for the complete lack of distraction that the minimalist editor provides. Instead of emphasizing your prose with underlining, italics, boldface, etc., you throw your readers against the wall by better word choices, more dynamic phrasing, and edgier dialogue. It's also just plain easier to concentrate, when you're not thinking about how a program must be used. Anything else is for sissies.
In HOTD 2, you see agent G dying, giving you a piece of important info as he hunkers over. All you reply is a bouncy, "Thanks G!"
Now if I was an antisocial teenager like the Best Buy kid who installed my car stereo, I might have thought this was a wild stab at sincerity, but instead I laughed like a hyena.
Dude, you're a sad little Nazi for insisting that everyone happen to have an extra $40-$50 a month to spend on internet access.
Where's your concentration camp for ISDN users? Get your head out of your parentally-funded ass and wipe it clean with the Toilet Paper of Justice!
wipe. Wipe! WIPE!!!!!
Dude, take a look around. Microsoft is selling real computer HARDWARE now. You might argue that this is no different from Apple, but Apple doesn't have its own internet service, game box, news network, major Office package, CRM, media center software, tablet PC OS, Palm platform, enterprise server solution... I could go on and on.
The real deal is that monopolies do not protect us from market abuses like ill-planned software. Only good competition can do that. That's why the litigation is so important, and we can thank Teddy Roosevelt for that.
Dude, you forgot about an eternal paradise and second chances for EVERYONE. Looks like you forgot to read the New Testament & see what the point was.
Conversely, you can't deal with paradise until you deal with the crap of the world.
That spirit you describe is hard to capture in a game (as evidenced by the previous post-ers), though I wish more people would try. The funny thing is that there is nothing nerdy or stupid about God's grace, and yet the Christian population wants to shoebox the dynamic into a good behavior/bad behavior + consquences = life equation, despite the fact that true grace in life subverts that equation and makes the worst of us actually able to change.
Shooting people in order to convert them is simplistic and unrealistic, as well as a game of known outcome. Known outcomes are exactly the opposite of the faith life as well as life in general. Who of us knows all that's coming ahead? Hence a lot of the awe that is trying to be created with decent computer graphics is lost in a forced or fake situation. That's where the parallels to 'Dogma' become real - it's embarrassing when that happens, because it makes the Christian population look like a bunch of headless, heartless morons, thanks to the gifted few.
Unless of course this game has a good potential for historical parody -- then all bets are off and could even be fun to play!
It's unfortunate, but true. Still revolving around a power game, which is something that the secular FPS's do all the time and someting that Christ paid some anger to. He was more interested in helping people than the spiritual domination of things, because by doing the former, he was accomplishing the latter anyway.
because Aida and the rest of the crew die. Yeah, I thought that was lousy too, but not a reason to call it a bad story, just not a great one.
I think that the team combat scenarios were well done, and I also don't understand what people complain about when they knock AI on any game. Turning the difficulty up usually seems to make everyone a little smarter!

I'm sure, but will real people look sillier than the movie or not? (see previous comment about drunk people...)
Nothin like eating a gas giant to make one cut some serious muffins.
I think redundancy was the point silly!
Microsoft running on IIS 6 again

Um, who's having a bad day Mr. Grumpy Pants?!??! Only -1 for the MCSE joke? C'mon, that's funny stuff!

getting on all fours and barking like a dog!
Dude, Donald Trump will be your first customer. Ride that horsie cowboy - riches await!

Cause that would kill most of the spam in a heartbeat.
You would have replaced the last 4 with Chromium, if you had any sense about you. :>}
