    Conceivably if the universe was made, and The Maker tweaked it at random here and there... for all we know s/he/it may be tweaking the world and still staying within its rules. I'm leaning toward pantheism at the moment so that would mean that God tweaking the universe would be a form of self mutilation or body modification.

    I especially like the idea of PRT over tubes rather than tracks; pneumatic, maglev, whatever. That'd be way-cool. Getting one in place however might be easier in a brand new town than doing a retrofit. Tubes also mitigate the issue of stray obstacles e.g. children.

    I need not re-iterate what the others in our (your soon to be) situation have said. I'm married w/ 2 girls, I don't have time for much extracurricular activity any more. But I wouldn't have it any other way, children are such marvellous creatures. Get in some extra sleep now.

    You don't invest in the stock market with your lunch money. You might invest your retirement account in stocks, but not the cash you need to stay alive in the next few days. If the need is too vital it precludes any risk behavior. Really, you should go down the pub and see the drongos pouring their hard-earned money into gambling machines. Some of these people have families that are going hungry to feed their habit.

    Spi Me. If you can find your carkeys on Google, then so can Google. And if Google can, the government you're under can find your carkeys too. Normally you're near where your carkeys are, or maybe your cellphone, or maybe the governmental id card. Um, the government already knows where your cellphone is and they can listen in on you with it too.

    I work for a small biotech company that has been doing cancer research and we never put out a press release every time we think we are on to something interesting or promising. Of course not! Because that would hurt your chances of patenting the cure.

    There is a license which artists must grant under law, a compulsory license, which allows certain digital performances. If you record a song, anyone may use it under the terms of that license. Um, is there a way to avoid or get around this?
    Can I not choose who to release my works to, including select distributors/broadcasters?!
    Are you saying that any recorded work is available via compulsory licensing?
    Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject.

    Yeah, I used to be a printer and I get in all sorts of arguments about colour theory -- primarily with family who are designers and architects, you think they'd know -- anyway, I guess that's my punishment for being a colour pedant. No! That's not blue, this is blue! lol

    BTW, there's a nice colour wheel here if you need to "show" someone.
