That is a lie, Sir. Suspend to RAM works in windows. It has always worked in windows since XP days. It works flawlessly. Either you are lying or your windows laptop is an old piece of shit

Thanks for suggesting greader. I was looking for exactly something like this. Finally I can ditch sage-too. FF3+greader rocks!
No exaggeration, but my father, who is 84, going senile, and who has trouble operating automatic flushers in bathrooms, was given an iPhone and has been able to use the various features quite easily right off the bat.
I prefer Axcrypt over Windows Compressed Folders password protection. AxCrypt is free and open-source.
From their FAQ: Why is AxCrypt better than Windows Compressed Folders password protection?
In the July 2003 issue of PC World magazine, there is a description of how to password protect files using the built-in Windows Compressed Folders of Windows XP and ME. This is a WinZip compatible extension of the Windows Shell (Windows Explorer). The problem is that since it's WinZip-compatible it suffers from the same weakness as does WinZip. WinZip (and thus Compressed Folders) password protected archives use a proprietary and weak algorithm that is known to have the following weaknesses, exploited in numerous 'Password Recovery' products and services:
* If the attacker knows the contents of one of the files in the archive, the password is susceptible to a so-called known plain-text attack. AxCrypt is never susceptible to this kind of attack.
* If the archive contains 5 or more files, password recovery (i.e. cracked protection) is guaranteed. With AxCrypt you can have any number of files encrypted with the same passphrase without affecting the security.
Woznaik is loser. On one hand you have Jobs who is raking millions, and on the other hand you have Woznaik who is standing in a line to get iPhone.
Jobs was more of salesman but Woznaik was the real brains behind Apple2. But in the end, the Salesman wins and the brilliant engineer is seen standing in a line outside Apple store waiting to buy an iPhone. Sad:)
Changed his name from Piyush because he was ashamed of his Indian heritage and could never become a politician in the bible belt with that name. Same reason for changing his religion and becoming Cristian from Hindu. Whenever he is asked about his India heritage, he refuses to discuss it (see his recent Q7A on CSPANN) almost as if it is a dirty little embarrassing secret. He never talks about his parents and refuses to be seen with them in public places. There is absolutely nothing wrong in changing your faith, but shunning your parents, historical root and then pretending to be a white guy just to fit in.... Well I guess thats why he is a politician
I, on the other hand love the new zoom feature. I use a very high resolution screen and need to zoom webpages to read the text. Earlier zooming would only increase the text and plenty of websites would look atrocious. Now everything scales proportionally and webpages look uniform after zooming.
I remember that back in 2000 when I was in still school, I took a course on "software engineering". The instructor talked about why rewriting code from scratch was a bad idea and code reuse should be preferred. He cited the example of failed Mozilla project. He was not alone, many others said at that time that Mozilla was dead. Its really funny to now read these insightful articles.
Yeah, because we all know this evil DVD monopoly drove DVD player
This time its different because the blu-ray consortium is not giving licenses to tom-dick-harry shop in china to make cheap players. So unlike the DVD, this time around we wont be seeing cheap DVD players. I still remember that it was some Chinese brand (apex?) which broke the $100 barrier for DVD-players and became the largest selling dvd player right behind Sony. With tighter licensing restrictions, thats not going to happen this time around with Blu-ray payers
Similarly, the answer to the question of God's existence and nature -- whether I can live in a relationship with him now, and whether he will judge me after I die for how I've lived my life here -- will be of material significance to my happiness.
But remember that according to Buddha, the root cause of suffering in this world is desire. What grandparent is suggesting is that answer to the question of God's existence is irrelevant. From wikipedia: "Buddha taught that in life there exists Dukkha, which is in essence sorrow/suffering, that is caused by desire and it can be brought to cessation by following the Noble Eightfold Path "
Thanks for suggesting Consolas. It looks great in my gvim editor. After installing the font, all I had to do was put set guifont=Consolas:h10:cANSI in _vimrc file. Looks phenomenal!
MicroB kicks ass! It has full AJAX support and allows me to use google maps, google docs & spreadsheet and google rssreader on my nokia N800. I love it
I typically like to hear both sides of a debate before making my mind up
I just found out that earth is not flat!! Truly shocking stuff, I tell ya...
I am a sucker.

You really think that redneck hicks of Louisiana will vote for a Hindu guy named Piyush who supports theory of Evolution over Intelligent design?
All I am saying is that he is a phoney politician pretending to be whatever he needs to be inorder to win.
He will never veto it, because Jindal supports the teaching of intelligent design in public schools.

This world needs more suckers like yourself to keep this free internet thing going.

Linux on the desktop is the mistress, windows is the wife
Mistress gives an awesome blowjob, wifey might give me a hand job if I am lucky
Shit, I forgot to select the "Post Anonymously" option
"Name one player besides Apple's that plays iTMS protected AAC."
I can't tell if you're serious or just stupid.
The grandparent asked a very simple question. What part of that you dont understand? Are you a retard??
The answer is NO. There is no player in the market other than ipod which plays apple's DRM crap.

Hats off to you Sir! What a thought provoking post.
your brain is only so big: use it for things that matter
Brain may be only so big, but mind is infinite.
