yes, but this "dip" in CD sales has been noticed and pointed out way before 9/11 and the current economic woes, dont forget how old napster is, or better how long ago it was popular and mainstream, thats when they "noticed" a dip in sales.
damn you, now you made me all depressed, I had that too till that *#@$!@ merger between Bell Atlantic and GTE, now I rot here doing pidly things and no cool lunch room with a big screen:(
Brillent review of the movie, and you didn't give out any spoilers either! hurah! Your comment had NOTHING to do with the article, other than trolling about it not interesting you,....well why should it, you havn't even seen it!!
Are you on crack? The article is saying they get phone service AND internet service for the same price (ie NOTHING has changed other than getting FREE net service), so they're not paying $0.25 for internet access, they're paying it for the phone call,....its just like in america where you dial up AOL, not only do you pay AOL but you pay the phone company, so in essence the service in question is a better deal than what the parent post mentioned.
Pessimistic or anything regarding our society, but I think a good margin of people are within a significant level of anti-social behavior such that they rather not "have" to deal with a human, and are willing to sacrafice a level of service to accomodate the want.
Many times I need to contact a company regarding an issue and many times I just dont feel like dealing with customer service (especially ISPs), so I just send an email and go back and forth with that....
Why is this considered newsworthy? All branches of the military require a given level of physique, same with virtually all law enforcement departments, not to mention fireman, rangers, and private security.
What else did you expect? Next there will be a story on how stupid people can't join the FBI.....
dumbass, the one, the only, the great Michael Jackson won Artist of the Millinium, duh.......

How to Test Your T1?
·
· Score: 1
Cytlid has a good point - you get a T-1 from the phone company (or a reseller/CLEC) and it either IS a T-1 or it IS NOT.
I disagree with that line, at least with out reseller they had a range of fractional T1,....are you saying that a fractional T1 isn't a T1? What is it then? DSL with a party hat?
There is far to many redudant posts here complaining how a "video phone" will ruin communications,....you dont think there will be an option to turn off video (just have audio) in this device if not future ones? Or in the very least just put towel or whatnot in front of the camera,......that wasn't so hard, now was it?
I think its the mere idea of having this as an option makes it neat, no need to jump down its throat simply because you can't see the two sides of it....
I agree, this seems almost like a waste. Were there NO other solutions? Imagine all the manpower its going to take to install that, much less the support it will need afterwards. Who the hell is behind the wheel on this one? Monty Brewster? It reminds me when he financially supported the removal of an iceburg so that some area could get extra water......
you honestly think that when Joe Sixpack goes to his local Walmart to find a dvd player that he even cares about that option? has a need for it? (he has a local blockbuster on every damn corner), much less understands (or cares!) about that option?!
I think its a bit more simple than that....your average Joe Sixpack isn't going to give a damn if any part of his computer is "DRM" qualified, the overwhelming majority of PC owners probably dont even know this problem exists, much less care....so no, I dont think capitalism (seen in a basic, non government intrusive, model) would work, the demand simply does not exist to justify the supply....
its not just CowboyNeal?

What are you talking about? He was HARDLY in this episode (thank god).

According to the article (which you of course read), the $0.25/hr charge is for the PHONE CALL, not the internet service (which is $0.00/hr).
If you had read the article (hell, the first damn paragraph), the actual internet service (dial-up) is free, not the phone call, THAT costs $0.25/hr

James Earl Jones is gunna be piiiiiiiisssed
Couldn't this new and refreshing opinion simply be added to the previous story rather than starting a whole new discussion?
dummy, they're TOTALLY different,......
....and quite frankly the ONLY thing those two books have similar (and this is a longshot) is that ISBN # thingy....

THIS is why we need a nice complex, privacy intrusive, ID System, because otherwise cuplruits can easily take your personal porn domain away!!
