In my Jounral already, but how is it that just about every write-up from the GDC is long and expansive except for the Iwata's keynote? Am I alone in thinking that that was far more important to the gaming industry than what the producer of Battlestar Galactica had to say?
I'm not much into RPGs but a MMO FPS does hold a certain appeal. I've always that the Warhammer 40k series would dovetail nicely into a MMO, but I don't think anyone is working on it.
I could see this having a pretty big impact on digital video cameras, too. No moving parts to break while you're running around with a handheld. Very cool!
Another great multiplayer game is Super Smash Brothers Melee. It allows for handicapping of characters in versus mode and for co-op play as teams. There's tonnes of things to unlock and it is a great introduction into how controllers work. I highly, highly recommend it.
Eventually, pretty everyone who wants a product has it. Those who don't want it, don't get it. Just because internet growth has been expanding by leaps and bounds is not a reason to think it will always be so.
Its like after opening day in baseball when a third of the players in the league are projected to bat.500 with 162 homeruns and 400+ RBIs.
along with estimates of illegal file sharing activity for specific titles.
It will be interesting to see how realistic their estimates are, or if every man, woman, and child on the planet is thought to bw trying to download Ashlee Simpson's latest wailings.
The problem Wall Street has with Google has nothing to do with opacity. Its a red herring. The problem is that Google is not beholden to them like just about every other company is. All of the recent spate of coporate scandals can be traced to trying to appease Wall Street. Google isn't buying into it, for which many of us applaud them. That doesn't mean we're fanbois or are looking the other way, it means that finally, finally a company is doing things the right way and not doing things the Wall Street way. Amen.
And started to dig. Now that profits through extended litigation seem to be a non-starter I guess a pyramid scheme is the next best thing. After this they can probably go ahead and drop all pretense and just start defrauding people directly.
I realize that Mormons tend to get lumped in the "nutjob" category of religions, and while some of their beliefs are... a bit different, they are very level headed when it comes to science. Indeed they even encorouage it. One of the higher ranking Mormon officials in our area actually has a PhD in Evolutionary Biology. So, considering how many of those Conservative Republicans were likely Mormon, this is not terribly surprising at all.
I wasn;t making my original comment out of devotion to the Revo,
I knew you weren't, I just really couldn't let an opportunity like that go by;-) Here's hoping that Nintendo's bid has the effect I think most of us are quietly hoping it does. It certainly seems like the potential is there.
Exactly. The only advantage of the 360, that I can see, is nicer graphics. The games are pretty much the same as anywhere else- except a lot more money. If the PS3 is comparably priced and has better graphics, while the Revolution targets an entirely different demographic with a much lower cost, then the 360 will be the big loser of the Next-Gen war.
I think one of the most interesting things being said, or rather not said, is that the PS3 and Revolution will have to perform at a high level to beat the 360. It seems to be that as long as the one or the other doesn't do something stupid, they will be very successful.

It does no such thing!
You're absolutely right. A more cromulent choice would be, "Innovation embiggens the market."

That sounds pretty far away. What about if you're closer, like say within 3 feet or so? ;-)

Then frag you all! mwahahahahaha
A sudden surge in the filing of divorces is plaguing thousands of local communities...

If you ever run out be sure and read my journal: its got hours and hours of it ;-)
Tired of other people's inane blather earning micro dollars while all you do is bore you co-workers? Boxxit might just be for you!
So you're the mouldy yogurt guy I've heard so much about;-)
The worthless original content in my Journal is all my own thank you very much.

Also sees swirls of colors and "really groovy things."

Guess we need some more stakes. And garlic. Lots of garlic.
That would be awesome. I'd hose my karma in a week, but it'd be worth it.

Though they do often lead to Revolutions;-)
Dumped Japanese consumer electronics. Buy Now!
To get the laws changed. More than enough time. Ask Disney.
