Yes. I wouldn't be mindlessly afraid of someone having a gun aboard an airplane anymore than I am with them being in a restaurant, park or on the street.
people who say they will choose death over a semi-naked picture being taken of them
Oh, it goes way beyond that. They call a dim silhouette of a naked body "pornography", demonstrating that they don't understand the meaning of the word. They call a professionally detached pat-down "sexual assault", proving that they have never known sexual assault and have never spoken to anyone who has actually been sexually assaulted.
To those who have been sexually assaulted, it's essentially the same thing. You do _not_ touch these people who aren't comfortable with it regardless of the fact that they may have been a victim in the past. Period.
there's an option to transfer purchases from the ipod/iphone to your computer under the file menu.
go into the itunes account area, there's an option to un-authorize the other computers
I don't believe companies or the government want an educated populace. If they did, we wouldn't be in debt this badly, we wouldn't be in a near-decade old occupation (I refuse to call it a war now) and our "policies" within the US borders wouldn't be so asinine.
When I opened my bank accounts probably 15-20 years ago it wasn't required of you to have a SSN attached at all. I went to my bank to open another one up last month and the guy who's been running it for the last 30 years didn't ask me for one then either.
What's with all the "papers please" crowd demanding it for every fucking thing you do in life these days? Makes me think the USA turned into the USSR overnight sometimes.
This is very true and where I end up purchasing my own prepaid phone and prepaid 3G internet access (surprisingly fast speeds). Yeah they can pinpoint my location if they really wanted to but everything is paid for in cash by getting those little "top up" cards to refill your minutes / monthly access. win/win
wow, I don't know about you guys but I use my prepaid, anonymous (at the time of purchase) phone for personal and legal reasons. I just cant' see paying the phone companies $40, $60, $80, $100 or $120 in some cases each MONTH for phone service.
Paying only $20 for the phone up front and $100 for 1000 minutes (t-mobile) lasts me a whole year.
anything else is a ripoff
If a game can be purchased without DRM and later added to steam via "add non-steam games" - I'll do that. In many cases, the steam overlay is available and - incidentally - extremely useful to have =)
Excellent point.
Well, a lot of aftermarket stuff isn't supported by the original manufacturer either. I doubt you could get support from Ford after putting a Dodge engine in their chassis.
there's a setting to erase the data after 10 unsuccessful attempts. just keep it away from the kids :P
patriot my ass
The media has been under the thumb of the govt for quite some time now.

Because, "I'm only following orders" worked _so_ well as a defense after WW2...
we shouldn't be over there anyways.
Not many people off that island know the difference.

I've been looking for the LD rips of the originals on and off over the years. Any suggestions of where to look?

Actually it's illegal to require a SSN for anything because legally a US citizen isn't required to have one.

for the HAM ignorant, but does this include crypto over your regular phone lines?
good luck with that
I love how you were modded redundant, as if there's a big "DUH" tag we could stick on this news story.

User error then.

I don't know about you, but on a device that is as functional as it looks good - I don't want something looking like shit on my iPhone.
