I'm pretty sure that if someone named BriTneySpeArSvAginA came into my sights, I would hunt them down to the exclusion of all else, even cross-game if I had to...
Xenothaulus has killed BriTneySpeArSvAginA! HEADSHOT!
Xenothaulus has mutilated BriTneySpeArSvAginA! Multi-kill!
Xenothaulus has fragged BriTneySpeArSvAginA! Monster-kill!
Xenothaulus has declared Uno!
Xenothaulus has won against BriTneySpeArSvAginA!

I could rip my VHS versions quicker than that:(
Come on/.ers! I know you're all SW geeks, let us see what the slashdot effect can do to torrent speeds.
HAHAHAHAHAHA Have you ever played an online game, anywhere? It's not just Xbox Live. There will be asshats no matter where you go. You just learn to filter them out, find better servers, go outside, whatever.
If this means we won't have days like today anymore, then I'm buying all the aerosol cans I can and just spraying them out when I leave the store.
I live in Pennsylvania and it was 81 here today. 81. It is April out. I do not wish to see 81 again until June. Nor anything else over 70.
Ice Age II can't arrive soon enough.
Here is a site that takes the concept a bit further. It's a "currency exchange" where you can buy and sell credits in various games. It's interesting to read through and see how the various game economies are faring.
You're not looking at it correctly. He made $3917 doing nothing, just sitting on his (most likely fat) ass, and probably had fun while he was playing, at least most of the time. $13.19/hr (I won't bother to check your computations, as I do not math very well,) seems like pretty good pay when you think about it like that.
I have 3 kids, and I don't let them watch most of the crap I watch anyway, sex/violence or not. Nudity is okay, (hey, we were born that way,) but explaining to a 5 year old why two people are naked and wrestling is rather uncomfortable. As is explaining why people are getting shot, etc.
However, I would rather just not let them watch those kind of movies until they are old enough to understand them, or at least old enough to understand my explanations of them. (HAHA!) I'd rather not use a machine to do what I consider to be my job- filtering the world for my children until they are ready to experience it full blast.
I had direct experience with them last night. I had installed the Galactic Conflict mod for BF1942, and jumped into the most popular server. Being a '42 veteran, it didn't take me long to discover all the unbalanced things and take direct advantage of them. So, as I was racking up the kills with the E-11 sniper rifle, someone, we'll call him/her x_player, accused me of using a hack. I laughed and then hunted that individual exclusively.
About 5 minutes or so later, a sys message comes up: x_player is using hack #32432 (or whatever) and is being banned. I laughed so hard I couldn't play anymore. Talk about classic.
My first said marksman. Since I was already a pistoleer, that wasn't a problem for me. My next said master droid engineer. Now that was a problem. I tried the crafting professions in the first couple weeks of the game. Fucking boring.
I'm glad they're changing the system. I can continue to play however I want, and still have a chance to make a Jedi on my server someday.
I spent almost 2 weeks with that game and it almost subsumed my life. I think I even reviewed it somewhere. In the end, I could never keep her from running away and was always a failure as a father.
Going with the worst-ever theme, can we give Gamespot the "worst gaming-site design" award? 4 reloads still didn't get it to open correctly. Moz had a big blob of something blue in the middle of the window, and some text on the far right, about the extreme left 10% of the article. I ended up loading it IE to read it.
That said, I actually want to play this now. Go figure. Maybe I can find it for $10 somewhere.
Also, Gamespot's little "review-at-a-glance" or whatever says: Stability: Minor Problems. Wtf?

[12.50.37] @xeno: the Bioncle series of toys were kind of cool
[12.50.45] @xeno: even though that's all you could build with them
[12.50.52] @solios: heh.
[12.50.52] @xeno: I WANT CONSTRUX BACK DAMMIT
[12.52.25] @solios: yar.
[12.52.29] @solios: nobody mentioned those.
[12.52.30] @solios: the fucks.
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
Kick ass. I recently read A Walk in the Woods by Somebody, which was about hiking the trail, and it made me want to do it. Now I've talked to someone who actually has.
THEY is about to make you his bitch.
You forgot to sign it with something like: Anoncoward, lvl 58 tauren druid, Blackrock server. At least try for some irony or sarcasm or something.

I believe the "first time ever" bit referred to Seattle and not the SFFWA.

That is all.
Not ugo's main site, but Digitspace's, due to all of us sickos that want a vibrating hedgehog.

"I was hoping secretly Peter Jackson would handle the director's chair, given the respect he gave LOTR as literature."
Respect? Maybe in FotR, but he completely butchered the rest. Faramir? The "army of the dead?" NO SCOURGE? What the nuts.Or Firebird. K? k.
Some guy fucked a green monkey. I thought everyone knew that...
She wouldn't sleep with me, either. :(

Thus ended an IRC discussion of this article.
You fucks.

Respect. How much of the trail did you walk and where?
