naturally cel phones conversations are harder to tune out than 2 people talking. hearing only one person talk triggers recognition of a possible mental problem... a person talking to themselves. It's hard to tune something like that out.
any way to give us a deep-link to see if we can start up an account w/o being invited for the test?:) that would be a good test of their security, right?
Right guys?

last time I saw Doctor Who broadcast was just a couple of years ago... hmm...
well, it's not listed anywhere on my TiVo right now.
my local PBS station used to play it all the time on sci-fi night, but that night seems to have been dropped. they even did anime occasionally on sci-fi night (sunday evenings)
As long as they don't stop offering service before I can afford a replacement...:-P
I love my TiVo, but not enough for brand loyalty. i'll go with what ever is best.
Actually, Star Trek uses ANTI-matter, not dark matter. Anti-matter is made up of reverse-charged quarks that are otherwise identical to nromal matter, with the exception that Anit-particles mutally anihilate when they come into contact with their standard matter counterparts

seems the first anti-electron was observed back in 1932, so I'd have to say it's proven to exist...
I use Mozilla as exlusively as I can (sometimes you have to use IE, always anoying) and I still get tracking cookies.
Funny thing I noticed, and BTW I run the update check every time before I run the program itself, is that spybot seems to be much better at targetting the nasty spyware, while AdAware seems to be better at cleaning up 'day-to-day' stuff like tracking cookies.
Yes, I am using it legally right now to download Anime Music Videos.
While AMVs do often contain copyrighed works (music + anime), they are a dirivetive art form and are protected as such because they are not done for profit, nor are they piracy.
Of course I'm still waiting for AMV creators to get sued anyway, but at least we know the Japanese companies are smart enough to realise that dirivitive art forms enhance sales of the original (which is why they allow cheap rip-off manga using new stories based off the original work to be publicly sold.. it increases the fan base!)
Take your kid off the drugs! I have ADHD, though as a 29 year old adult I am no longer to adversely effected by it. I never had drugs for it, and thankfully my parents would never have considered putting me on drugs for it. It does nto need chemical treatment.
If you want to help your kid cope with ADHD, all you have to do is find a way to train her how to focus. my focus training started by accident; i picked up a fantasy book that was actually designed for teenagers-adults when I was less then 10. It was actually interesting enough to occupy most of my brain long enough for me to focus and jsut read it with out fidgeting to much.
As I grew older, I persued learnign about what ever interested me, which included various philosophies and meditation. It's the original neuro-feedback, and I trust it more than the experimental form.
But even if you don't beleive in meditation, medication for ADHD is bad, and makes kids dependant on a drug to handle their thougths for them, rather than learnign to think and focus on their own.
Actually, it is my understanding that there is (or was) one tribe of pigmies in south america who were genetically not compatible with 'standard' humans, but only barely.
Of course, it's possible they were on of those tribes that got wiped out by the diseases brought to america. Or I could have my facts messed up completly. Or maybe they were just to small to be physiclaly compatible. I do not have hard data.. hmmm,:;opens up a tab and googles::
gah.. to much data.. to tired to filter it. Maybe if some on ehas ever heard of what i mentioned, they can pull up a relavent link?
Well, i'm not quite sure what the person above was complaining about for load times, and as far as 'parties' are concerned, in multiplayer you can party as many people as are on the server.
Now for the plug: If youw ant to play online with real people and roleplay in depth, and aren't worries about your character's level rising to the mid 20's quicly, check out Battledale, under the Roleplay section of the Gamespy Arcade client.
Given what I read above, how secure does my setup sound?
First, the company: Small landscape contracter with only 4 computers, all running windows XP. Website is hosted of the computers of our small-business DSL provider.
The computers are networked through a LinkSys Router with built-in firewall, in addition to which each computer has Norton Firewall (and System Works) installed.
I know that deliberate hacking chances are essentially nil for such a small company, but these measures combined with at-least weekly windows updates should pretty much secure us against any type of incidental or random attack, right?
And in case you are wondering, I am essentially the entire IT department, which leaves me working only part time, and even then half my time is spend doing general admin (not sys admin) work. It helps me get through college, gives them the tech help they need. My specialty was Electronics Technician in the Coast Guard, so I know I am not fully up to par for Sys Admin skills, but I am learning Fast!
Ok, I have a DMCa bot trap set, it's primitive and basic, just.zip file names and nothing else, but I want to see if my ISP gets sent a letter for it. seehwo diligent these bots really are. it's an obscure site with nothing linking to it, so the bots will have to be searching overtime to find it. now those of you who know websites better should do somethign liek this too! your ISP gives you free webspace, use it!
oh, we cna get it back if we really want to.
Declaration of independance lays out all the reasons for the 4th ammendment to exist. Just remember that. I doubt it will be nessecary, but if it does...
What else do you expect? Which isn't to say i am against all republicans, not by a long shot (I do beleive Arnold, the maybe-next-governer-of-california, is a republican, and I'd vote for him!). But, there is a certain type of conservative who is radically against any from of real progress and is afraid of change, just as there is a certain type of liberal who insists on seeking change for the sake of change and assumes anyone with some sort of power is corrupt.
Now, here's what I am getting at: It doesn't what party the next person the RIAA hires is, because they choose a person based on who is mostly likely to keep them all filthy rich. The RIAA is basically corrupt, and needs to be taken down. They are a chameleon, changin their political colors of the moment to what ever shall serve them best. Like all the worst industries, they are truly apolitical in regards to parties, because they willl unbiasedly leech off of whom ever they can.
And yes, that was virulent. The RIAA does not support true innovation in music, and is due for replacement because it can not adapt. If the enviroment changes, life forms must change to match, they can not revert the enviroment back to what they like, and the RIAA is an evolutionary dead end.
Hey! Don't forget the profund effect of Aimee Deep's inticing offer to get people to sign.:) I picture of a cute girl for signing a petition I like anyway.. OK!
There is part of me that is screaming "Oh yeah, that's cool, blending real life with video games!" You know, the part that likes the cyber-punk books.
Then there is this other part of me that is going "Oh my god, this is sooooo lame!" the part that doesn't want to have geeks looked at as strange (any more than we are), and preffers to keep games seperate from the rest fo the world most of the time.
So I guess we will jsut have to wait and see for details before making a final decision.

yes, but the listed percentage is: 0.0803% so 8 milligrams out of every 1000 mg are silver.... not so bad I think. :)

Hold down the shift key? you mean you haven't turned off the auto-run already?
City of San Carlos in San Mateo County, on the San Francisco Penninsula:
Comcast is offering Cable Broadband at 19.99 for the first 6 months, then up to regular price which is around 40-45 I do beleive.
