Or maybe like Bond movies, where they're all pretty much the same, only the plots get less believable and you're left longing for the "classic" Bond who didn't need insane "gadgets" to get the job done. fixed that for you...
nah... don't bother... you'll just find out that kara thrace is a cylon. That will ruin everything you've watched up til now. So just stop while you are ahead.
While AirBook is easier to say it would be a step backward from the stance that the name/word "Mac" has to appear in all the computers. This happened when they ditched the iBook for the (newly minted Intel) MacBook because Steve wanted to make sure everybody knew that being a Macintosh computer was an important part of the MacBook - that is, even though it's Intel based, it still has the Mac OS and that's the important part.
"In the past week, the civil liberties debate has exploded in Sweden, with numerous mainstream politicians finally having understood the issue. Last week, seven Swedish MPs wrote a prominent opinion piece saying that removing national ID is not just the best solution, it's the only solution. Now their number has increased to 13, and the issue continues to grow. Good summaries at www.aclu.org and ID Consortium. Original opinion piece in English here."
One can dream, can't he?
I'm no apologist for Comcast but for the last 6 months I've been able to speedtest at 22+ mb down and 2+ mb up.
I think it may be coincidental to the fact that all the Verizon FIOS signs started going up in my neighborhood.
Oh, they also set me up on 12 months of their "triple-play" 33/33/33 pricing for voice/data/tv. Last week we dropped tv to limited cable ($7/month) and they kept the 33/33 for the other two services. I won't say they are perfect but Comcast has proven to be a better deal than any other package from any other vendor.
earlier this year, after a contentious salary negotiation as part of a promotion and reorg my company had the brilliant idea to send me a new employment agreement... in a Word doc. Not protected, not a pdf, not a paper copy... a fully editable Word doc. "Please print, sign and return to HR." Which I did but not before changing my non-compete period from 1 year to 1 week. I have scanned and sealed paper copies of the countersigned document. I hope I can get another one this year, I'd like to adjust the non-solicit period and be sure to correct the "invention" portions.

Comcast Drops Microsoft

Hey, I can hate on Microsoft with the best of them, but having been on a DirecTiVo and having to switch to Comcast, I can tell you that the Microsoft product was at least usable. I was fearing that I'd end up with the home grown OSD when we switched, having seen it at relatives in other states. I was relieved to see the Microsoft label when we turned on the new STB.
Teh suck is now I'm in a place that can get DirecTV, but they've ditched TiVo so that's not a much better option.
I guess it's time to start reading books.:(
What you and others are missing is that there is not an anti-virus product in OS X. OS X is just naturally more resistant to viruses because of its security model and design. The green light is there and has been there for a long time for Microsoft to incorporate a sane security model. They have just demonstrated over and over their unwillingness to do so.
True. True.
My inital response to the Keynote is pretty "meh."
But what Steve showed here are really the things he doesn't care so much about Microsoft ripping off in the next couple months to try to cram into Vista.
I bet there will be a whole slew of new Leopard features at MacWorld Expo 2007 after Vista has gone out to the OEMs...
Not exactly, but if you want what TechTV was go here and then poke around.
You'll end up finding Revision3 and DL.TV.
Don't bother about what happened. Just enjoy what has resulted. TechTV controlled by the people on the air for the people who liked to watch it.
Can I mod an article -1 Troll?

EHLO iPhone?
Doesn't Boot Camp and/or Virtualization make porting kind of pointless?
it produces reports 10 years later.

Funny how it's fair use when you like the cause and copyright violation when you don't.

any sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice.
Burns going down, but works nicely.
What do you mean when you say "notoriously insecure networks"?

Yeah Lots of scrolling so the time saved from reading will be lost to scrolling I'll stick to block text.
C'mon Slashdot. This isn't news relevant to nerds or stuff that matters.
