    Really?
    Ran 38 Axis cameras on a 4 core pizza box for over 6 years.
    Each motion detection zone was almost infinitely adjustable, multiple include/exclude/preclude zones configurable on every camera. Not just rectangular zones either, multi point polygons easily configured.
    REALLY curious about what you found for under $2000 that can do that because some places I support don't have the brains to allow a Linux system in.

    If you enjoy numbers and books about them that are reasonably priced so when you 'loan' one to a friend it wont hurt...

    As you noted, you need a real car to make this practical, yet you left out the expense of having two cars.
    Most people would rather have to insure, license, maintain, and nees parking for one vehicle.
    The no range electrics seem t be vanity vehicles.

    I found an article (mid 90's?) detailing the several times a month first class Concord trips by their CEO.
    They came back with a couple of managers, I sent them packing asking that I never be bullied again.
