But how will you bank online, when your bank stops supporting non-TCPA clients in the intrest security?

After that, it's not a great leap to see the credit card companies only issue merchant accounts to those online retailers who similarly require the client to use TCPA.

At least in the UK, online government servies are in their infancy. A few well-placed bribes by a certain software company later, and suddenly I will only be able to access government services from a TCPA-compliant terminal...

The more I think about it, the more I realise I am *glad* that the Xbox won't get the chance to ruin yet another game with so much potential, by lobotomizing it into a cookie-cutter "game" that appeals to the dreaded Casual Gamer.

Before you reply in anger, or mod me down, consider: do you really disagree with me, or are you just ignoring the evidence?

Look at Halo, look at Deus Ex 2, look at Broken Sword 3. These games should have been shining beacons of perfection amid a wash of mediocrity--but instead they are barely distinguishable amongst the rest of the dross that comprises today's market.

It is almost certainly too late for Thief 3. I, for one, sorely hope that a third System Shock game *isn't* on the cards.

I've yet to see an antivirus program for Windows that doesn't suck ass. Maybe the 409 kg competition will force Norton, et al, to spend actually spend money on improving their product, rather than burning money on INTRA WEB VIRUS ALERTS that read like PRs (oh wait, they ARE PRs).

The firewall products are just as bad--even if they don't crash your PC, mangle your system files and corrupt your registry, they are still completely useless--there's nothing to stop a malicious program from disabling the firewall you carefully set up, before carrying out its evil deeds. If there's not a Linux, etc, box, or some hardware firewall between you and your gateway then you are not safe, full stop.

Plus, I often get Spam advertising Norton's products. So for all I care, Norton at least can burn in hell.
