You don't need to shut them down. Just need fines that are more expensive than the money saved from malfeasence. $100 million fine for a business pulling in $2.7 billion in revenue is just ridiculous. That's like me getting a $2k dollar fine for killing someone.
You missed several zeros which make it seem like Teslas are way more dangerous than they are. The number is 130 million, not 130 thousand. 2 deaths in 130 million miles is pretty good. 2 deaths in 130 thousand miles is Thunderdome.
The takeaway is never hire a designer for a space meant for a practical reason. The designer will be too busy checking brand names and the latest fads to have time to address any actual issues of design. Hire efficiency engineers or similar instead. Tell the inevitable prick who whines about the work environment because he doesn't recognize the brand name of your furniture that you went for mid 20th century brutalist design and he needs to expand his design horizons.
Bullshit. CA pays the federal government. It's states like Tennessee and Alabama and especially Florida that take money from the federal government that comes from CA.
Who do you think pays for hurricane cleanup? It's not Florida; it's CA and NY.
I've heard late boarding is an issue for people who want to cram a bunch of shit in the overhead. I travel light or check my luggage, so it's completely crazy to me that you wouldn't wait until the last possible moment to board. I wait for the final group to clear before I get up.
There should be a way to fly without giving any personal information to the airline. Obviously the government wants to maintain their security theater, but that could be a separate process where you only deal with TSA or other intermediaries.
One guy was already cured of HIV through a bone marrow transplant from another individual with genetic immunity to the disease. To use CRISPR to make the genetic tweak doesn't seem all that farfetched.
But if you're root, you can access the disk device. So what do you gain by not letting root write to the file? All you're doing is making the code that writes to disk far more error prone and likely to open up a security hole.
No antivirus and no root password. I have one machine that's pretty much always idle and another that's a laptop. I would notice the fans kick on if either of those started mining.
How is it better? While legally speaking it's better I suppose, it seems to me I'd rather have my data abused to serve American interests rather than Chinese.
Is that why every time I go to Target, the cashier spends 30 seconds collecting my purchases before scanning anything? Gamification is fucking poisonous.
I say that if people care about the freedom to share the software, they should use the MIT/BSD style. But that's no call for everyone to use those licenses. If you don't care about sharing software, use whatever license your want: GPL, proprietary, etc. There's nothing wrong with restricting people from using your work as they see fit. You created it, you have the control. But if you don't wish to exercise that control, then use a license that permits it such as the MIT or BSD license.
Maybe you're too stupid to keep your wrists straight. Or to have support in place. The rest of us can manage.
Let me see if I can educate you. Place your arms so that the forearms are laying on the desk at a 90 degree angle from your elbows, directly forward. Now, using the elbow as a pivot, lift the arms slightly so that you have freedom of motion. Now - keeping your elbows stable - rotate your arms so that your right hand moves towards the left and circles towards you to your left side, and you left hand moves towards the right and circles towards you to your right side. At some point, your hands should touch as they come together. That's where you position the space bar. Your hands should now have access to almost the entire keyboard without any wrist movement. Rotate the arms out and back in and you should find this to be the case.
For further illustration, the "Q" key should probably be hit with your left ring or middle finger, depending on where you find your hands when the key is needed. The "F" key should sometimes be hit by your middle finger.
If you need to hit the "5", "6", and "7", you might need to use your shoulder to briefly lift off your elbow.
There are no ergonomic design problems with Model M. Only ergonomically bad use patterns. If you're always on the home row, you're gonna have a bad time. Move your arms. The keyboard is fine.
When that happens, people turn off their miners, the hash rate goes down, the difficulty lowers, and it's profitable again. Whatever price it hits is an amount that will price SOMEONE out of the market. It's meaningless.

If you want quiet, check the book out.
You mean like asians have a phobia of dairy?
Americans don't have a phobia of Indian food, they have a completely rational distase for food that doesn't digest properly.

Pretty sure she is the boss, judging from the question.

Easy to play pick up games with anyone around the world.
Then how would you grant permissions back to the file if you can't use root to do it?

I think I'm good.
If you don't want to update software for personal reasons, then you probably should stop using the software for security reasons.

You're a moron with a poor sense of proprioception. I'm sorry you're handicapped.

DVD player? I haven't seen one in years. And desktops have only been found in libraries since tablets hit the market.

I like the look of the Das Keyboard with all black and no letters on the keys to ruin the look.

Where's the exposé on the use Papyrus at Middle Eastern restaurants?
