while I understand the counterintuitivity, it would be terrible without clipboard management. You could cut a file then remember that you need a bit of text and copy that to the clipboard. Where'd the file go? It's gone now.
That's bullshit. After getting an ear infection for the first time, my doctor told me stop using Q tips. I did so and I got 4 more ear infections over the following year. I started using Q Tips again and haven't had one since. Perhaps if used improperly they could push gunk down the canal, but not if you know how to use it. Think of a dentist who tells you never to scrape your teeth, especially with metal. You go in for a cleaning and they take out a metal hook and scrape your teeth. It's all about proper use and idiots who don't know how to do it properly.
I would love to see more 2D platformers. In fact, I think HD has alot more to offer 2D, hand-drawn games than it does 3D games. In a hand-drawn world, the pixel-per-pixel rendering can be used to make a fantastically beautiful scene, whereas in 3D the constant motion of the world detracts from the artistic aspects.
If someone were to come out with an excellent 2D platformer with a huge world or great replayability (Symphony of the Night comes to mind), I would certainly be willing to drop $60 for it.
Oh well, not likely to happen from a major publisher who could really pull it off well.
Or just skip the first two books altogether. They're a good frame of reference, but not wholly necessary. For those who don't know, the Silmarillion, as published contains 5 books: The Ainulindale, The Valaquenta, the Quenta Silmarillion, Akalabeth, and Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age. The Quenta Silmarillion is the one that defines and dominates the text, though.
Speaking along the lines of controlling the keyboard and mouse, he should find a coalition of those who find WoW to be inaccessible and make sure the media knows how Blizzard shits on the handicapped.
I may be mistaken, but I dont't think WoW is a trademark. World of Warcraft, yes; WoW, no. I don't know how they would get a registered trademark on such a short, ubiquitous word that is also the name of a common MS software compatibility layer. And I think they would have a hard time protecting an unregistered trademark like that.
And by violating the TOS, he is no longer licensed to play the game. Doesn't mean he can't produce software to do so. Blizzard and other companies should wake up. If a bit can play their game, it is a fault of Blizzard making a repetitive game for dullards, not the person who likes aspects of the game and is trying to avoid all the poor design decisions Blizzard made for it.
I was actually thinking of working on one recently, but I don't remember the specifics of the game enough (how big walls/cannons should be etc.) The game would be just transformed with the use of a mouse, though, so maybe that's not too important...
What about Windows isn't POSIX compliant? While I do not develope POSIX apps for windows, I do know that Windows has several subsystems to target for applications, one of which is POSIX (the other two major ones are Win32 and Console). Are you simply not aware of this, or is there something important missing from the Windows implementation? I have heard for years that Windows is compliant and to my knowledge you can't claim that without being true.
Do some searches on Rockefeller and the educational system. You should come up with some enlightening info regarding where our modern school system comes from and what purposes it serves.
If you were to run for board of education in my community, I would vote for you... I have long-held strong beliefs regarding the terrible educational system in the U.S.
All this says is that they have the right to syndicate it in any way they wish including the right to grant these rights to sublicensees. This does not grant them the right to use it and sell it as their own. Way to spread FUD.
I'm sorry, but isn't that exactly what you would expect a Help Desk Analyst to do? You know, Analyze the Help Desk system...
There are plenty of nonsensical or trumped up job titles (I personally have been entitled engineer, web presence director, and a few others), but this doesn't seem to be one of those.
Indeed. While I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig, just because it's in the license, and you agree to it, does not make it legally enforceable. I especially doubt the ISO clause is enforceable, though the transfer of license is more iffy.

And clipboard management has its own problems.

Ahhh... a child of pop culture. Refreshing.
Most of ABC's popular shows (including Lost) are available for free on their website.
Yeah there is. Mixing it with structured exception handling to ignore certain classes of errors and resume where it left off, while handling others.
Try {
Loop:
While b {
b = errorInvokingCode()
}
} Catch badError {
tellUser()
} Catch okError {
setFlag()
goto Loop
}
This is a lot more readable in short codeblocks than nested try's.
Hmmm... history DOES repeat itself!
I think you just described half the militant groups in the Middle East...
Except now they export drugs for money instead of get addicted to them and the name of the ruler is different.
FFXII. Wait until that cools down to get accurate PS2 numbers.
Is this a serious question? Are background checks necessary for Sys Admins at a financial institution?
No, but there are some pretty sweet refactoring tools that IBM has. If they wanted, they could come up with a tool that does something similar.

That has nothing to do with whether the game is targeting adults. It has to do with the game targeting gays.

My roommate came up with an effective method last week:
"No one's home. It's just an iluuuuusion!!"

Healthcare is free market? It's regulated left and right by the government. That's not free market.

Perhaps you should check some current figures. Nintendo sells more systems than anyone else with their current offerings.
