What i don't get is why in wikipedia you can't cite a source, just something that makes it harder to change things. Then have people confirm the source. If the source is confirmed make it harder to change, something like a vote.
The history channel had a show on the Dolphins. They are trained to do things like look for mines or spot enemy divers in a bay. If the dolphin sees a diver he doesn't know he will poke them with is nose. I don't think it matters who they are. The way this kills the diver is that the dolphins have these special nose guns that go off on inpact.
For example you don't have a resaonable expectation if someone was to go through you trash and find something because you willing gave your trash away. Or if say the police walked along and you shooting herion in your apartment throught he window that was in plain view.
I think what it comes down to is if in the normal corse of doing their job a tech finds something then you don't have an expectation to privacy. But however if they were just snooping through your files then I think you do.
My brother who needs a computer for college can't wait so he is going to buy a PPC Mac. Anyway yeah this will hurt Mac sales but not as much as not moving to intel. I hate to say it but Intel will make macs faster, less nosiy, and on a laptop run longer.
I don't know about that but thats the parent's choice not the governments, so if you want to teach your kids the diffrence between fantasy and reality go right ahead.
I'm 24, hell i was even a seasonal police officer, and I've been playing since GTA 1. Infact all the cops I worked with liked to play GTA 3 and Vice City. But going with what your saying I would have to ask where the kids got the $50 for the game. I am just sick of these irrational fears that some how games are corrupting the youth. And the crazy thing is that something like this happens ever generation. Remember how Elvis's gyrating corrupted the youth. It all comes down to that people are trying to legislate good parenting and thats bullshit. Kids aren't made of money so you have to be a really bad parent not to notice that they spent $50. Now for the point Rockstar games is to blame how can you prove that? I think the only reason people care about video games is the perceived notion that video games are for kids. I grew up with video games and most of my generation did also, we are all of adult age and we still like video games because the stories are growing with us. I am not going to play a sesame street spelling game, I am going to play video games similar to movies I like and if you hadn't noticed crime movies have been popular since the inception of moving pictures.
Kids aren't going to come across it because good parents would not let their young children play GTA. It all comes down to in the end that these idiots don't seem to understand that the games cost about $50 each. Kids can't afford this unless parents are giving their kids $50 dollars and paying no attation to what they spend it on. Mabey a teenager with a job could afford it but then again who cares about protecting them from this game.
I mean I know there seems to be a book about everything but really how hard is it to use a browser. Now there are always tweaks and stuff that can make it better but I don't see how people are writing so many books about Mozilla stuff. I mean I even code various extensions for diffrent Mozilla projects (Firefox, Thunderbird, etc.) and I didn't even have to buy a book for that. I am also guessing that the books aren't covering developing details.
just because he was at that highschool has nothing to do with if he knows violence in video games matters. I would have to say I think he is totally right but I have no study or real science to back that claim up. I wish we could get rid of the whole political bullshit and just have a fscking real study. One that isn't skewed by what the person wants it to prove... It should be so simple. Well science is never that simple but stats are good over a really wide number of kids. I think this is all a product of our 24 hour news stations that have nothing to report on about 99% of the time so pick small stories that skew whats really happening in the world.
When I think of Freedom in the aspect of software I don't think of GPL software first to which I am sure this is all directed. What I think of as true freedom is BSD.
No is hasen't but then again it is no real shock that in our society today Companies get do what ever the hell they want so long as they donate enough money. Its a shame we have to wait for an Enron type catastrophe before anything happens and even then the only thing that happens is Enron gets in trouble. Our flawed system is just dusted off.
Could you do something like this in your house? I know this sounds a bit crazy but I am trying to figure something out so I figure out where my roomba is inside my house. That way I could send it to rooms that get more traffic. This would require more hacks for Roomba but I got a good idea how to do that what I need is a way to figure out where Roomba is in my house.
Okay lets set the record straight, this would be the best move Apple could make and it isn't as hard as everyone thinks. Why you ask?
First if they are going with the intel's x86 line they already have Darwin and OpenDarwin running on it. So much of the change on the software side as would be as simple (or as hard) as port from like NetBSD PPC to NetBSD x86 or even linux.
Second even with out recompiling they could do binary conversion from PPC to x86 and then an emulation layer (really just an API wrapper). Something similar is already being worked on in Darwine. The diffrence in that project is they are converting Windows x86 binarys to PPC then running them through Wine's emulation layer.
Third, Apple already can run virtually any Linux and obviously any BSD applications. And with this move could very easily run any Windows program as well under their system. This is already going on under Linux with Wine and made extremly easy with CrossOver Office. I mentioned what some very smart people were already trying to do this on the PPC and binary conversion with Darwine above. I had thought Apple should have supported this group when they are on the PPC but their efforts are somewhat moot if this goes through. However if Apple wants to make things right I think they should buy CodeWeavers who are the creators of CrossOver Office. But either with Apple support or not a x86 would enevitably result in a version of Wine for MacOS X.
Now the one thing I think no one is thinking about is what if Intel is making a new chip that will act almost like a PPC. I mean AMD did it to Intel, why can't Intel do it to IBM.
Q: Do you think little green men come to earth and grab White Trash. Then take them back to their space ships and shove things in their Asses
A: No
Q: Does life only exist on Earth?
A: That is Statically improbable, so No
Your insightful argument is very intresting with all the sources you cited to prove your point...
However let me try if I can rebut your claim anyway. You say that Kevin Rose is a "tool". The defention of tool as an insult is used when describing someone who is being manipulated without their knowledge - implying they are naïve and ignorant. Now I don't think that Kevin Rose matches any of those points. He knows what he is doing and is neither being exploited or manipulated. In fact he is rather taking the bull by the horns at it were and attempting to start a Online Television company producing shows reminiscent of the old TechTV days.
Now that I gave you the smart ass answer I will go alittle more into what I think you really mean by calling him a tool, which is he is a "poser" and does not possess the true elite computer hacker skills that you think are important.
Now don't get me wrong I am not Kevin Rose fanboy although I am defending him here. I do think he does a pretty good job with production value and quality of the shows he is on, either it be thebroken or the old Screen Savers. Does that mean that anyone who wants to have a tech show has to be one of the most elite computer users on the planet before they get your approval? I hope not because I have been following around online telvision shows for a while and I got to say that the ones with the most elite people as the stars suck. And the reason that is because the most elite people for the most part do not know how to be a good television host. Their camera angles are all off, the lighting always sucks and I get better sound listening to AM radio. I don't want an "elite computer hacker" running the shows I watch. I want those people in the background comming up with the content and handing it off to people like Kevin Rose who can actually present the information in a worth while format.
Well I don't know about the rest of you but I use RSS as a souce of clean content to parse for a particular purpose. If they start adding in ads its going to culture up my nice clean data sources. I think that a better way to do this would be something like an email ad campaign opt-in. Where I would agree to get an email advertisement once and a while inexchange for a clean RSS feed.
I guess Terry Ebbert doesn't know how to take a bribe!?!?!
What i don't get is why in wikipedia you can't cite a source, just something that makes it harder to change things. Then have people confirm the source. If the source is confirmed make it harder to change, something like a vote.
I know they were domesticated dolphins, I was just guessing the other dolphins would behave in a similar way
The history channel had a show on the Dolphins. They are trained to do things like look for mines or spot enemy divers in a bay. If the dolphin sees a diver he doesn't know he will poke them with is nose. I don't think it matters who they are. The way this kills the diver is that the dolphins have these special nose guns that go off on inpact.
I heard about 6 other dolphins from the area that got free and they found all 6 hanging out as close as they could get to their former pen.
For example you don't have a resaonable expectation if someone was to go through you trash and find something because you willing gave your trash away. How long before CDs and DVDs?

I bet its just Disinformation to thwart modders for a few more months then it would take them to figure out how to mod the xbox 360.

i2p is exactly what you are looking for. However it is still in a very very early stage of development.
Once it is done though you will be able to do everything on the internet anonymously, like download television torrents
So to speed things up some of you Java developers should volunteer.
um it did take years, no one is saying they can't do it. All we wonder is how long before we can really use it.
