I worked in one IT department (here) and uncovered a lot of wicked stuff, such as purchasing "vapor equipment" to finance personal expenditures, credit card theft, and stealing from co-workers. I gave them the evidence but they don't care!!!
While there, my co-workers harassed me probably so as to make the work place a hostile one and protect their illegal activities; one co-worker placed a consumer anti-theft device in an article of my clothing so as to heighten my paranoia; another liked to walk past my cubicle saying certain things, one time "nigger".
If that person's environment was nearly as
hostile as this one, I can understand
100% percent why he would do such a thing.
P.S. I did not place logic bombs in their systems and to this day back-up my work.

What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'
I was dissatisfied with administrating her Win98 box so I set up her machine as a diskless host (the Win98 data on the HD is still there but the boot floppy prevents Win98 from booting). She seems to be understanding it okay (GNOME) and she's in her 60's - plus I can rlogin to her box and see what's going on/wrong should the need arise.
The name "Apple" in "Apple Computer, Inc." is rather generic and is not even in the neigborhood of International Business Machines or Hewlett-Packard, names that clearly isolate them from the pack.
Why should a small company be find $100k because Jobs & Wozniak decided to use such a simple name that gasp was already in use by at least one well known record label, the Beatle's Apple Records.
Apple just doesn't play fair and if they continue to be the "underdog that turns around and bites you" then they should go out of business. Remember, Jobs or whoever, from which you came - a garage, and the creator of Apple Communications seems to be coming from rather humble beginings as well.
I am listening to it now and it is wonderful
although it may be better in smaller doses (like 30 minutes or so).
I am interested in acquiring a CD of this piece but unfortunatly the CD they mentioned was in mp3's
at
swipnet
and I prefer vorbis' ogg due to the patent thing.
I have a copy of Goodwill's Apache Jakarta-Tomcat next to me and it came out about six or seven months ago and, although it is a decent book, it appears to be a rush skim-over of Tomcat and not a thorough, in-depth reference work and not worth the $34.95 price (but, since it was the only one on the market IIRC, I had nothing to compare it with).
Wrox's XML Schema book was one of the first Schema books on the market, but it was thorough.
Sadly, this is often the case. Sometimes
management is more interested in looks or
how the organization/operation will be perceived

I told the FBI about someone that is linked to credit card identity theft and presented the evidence. This person also told me he downloads mp3's of popular music, burns cd's, and sells them to friends, which I related to the FBI as well. Why has there not been an investigation?
Popular music is a joke and its thieves are even more of one. If it is such a horrible crime, why doesn't the FBI and RIAA start making some arrests?
But who cares? apparently. I mean, I uncovered evidence that a co-worker used someone else's credit card to view porn on the net. He also told me he downloads mp3, burns cd's, and sells them to friends. I gave this info to the FBI and wetip.com but they didn't do anything.
Give them a programming assignment besides the general interview. Even if it's way over their heads (or may take too long to do in the time given), pay attention to how they go about solving the problem.
Do they even try to do it?
What resources do they consult?
Do they make UML diagrams?
Have a senior programmer review their code:
Is it sloppy?
Is it well commented?
Is it brilliant but needs polish that will come with more experience?
Tell them, "Try to do this and return anything of value that will help you or others achieve the goal."
Who is left having to clean up these messes? Probably an unglorified housekeeper or lawn-worker. They're the real heroes.
that are just as skilled as classically trained M.D.'s

Tinnitis may occur for any number of reasons.
What I'd like to know is whether or not the President of Venezuela was fairly elected. If so, people should not riot for his removal.

Hand the information over to the FBI or other authorities; have this investigated if possible

Those dumb games are a waste of time! We need more, serious coders, not mp3 traders.
That's a good question. If the RIAA and FBI fail to enforce mp3 pirating and credit card identity theft, they should not complain.
What the RIAA and MPAA (motion pictures) should do is place undercover agents in the field and use honey-pots to help place these people under arrest.

tex did that and latex did e iirc TeX
I opt for 2.6 because the ABI did not change. The 3.0 sounds like a marketing move which I believe will hurt things in the long run.
I mean it's not like popular music is all that good, let alone movies.

That is a pretty bird.
