    Near Mars, which gets about half of that flux, you need about 300 square meters.

    So, a couple of 10 by 15 meter panels. That doesn't sound out of the question.

    ... there was a movie about this, called the island of Dr Moreau. Well not exactly about this, but about a Dr who took animals and tried to make them human, through altering them genetically.


    Considering that H.G. Wells' book "The Island of Doctor Moreau" came out in 1896, that SciFi is not that bad. Dated, maybe.

    Has anyone found bluetooth to be reliable for them? Any success stories?


    Yep. Been using it for connecting to internet from my laptop, via the phone. Works fine. Started it a few years back; I'm on my second laptop since then (had a Sony Vaio, then iBook), 3rd phone (Nokia 3650, then Motorola V330, then Motorola RAZR.) T-Mobile.

    Unless I'm mistaken, the TPM is itself is signed. Windows can check that to figure out whether the TPM it thinks exists really does or not. Or in other words, to "simulate" a TPM you need to get the Trusted Computing Group's private key.
    ...Or have a real Trusted computer available, and institute a Man-in-the-middle attack.

    Google is a publicly traded company. They would be derelict of their duties to their shareholders if they missed this opportunity. What they are doing in China is not illegal or even unethical; they are just complying with the local laws.

    I see plenty of options listed in replies to your questions, but they all seem to be either Windows-only, or generic application-docking mechanisms... Is there no extension for Thunderbird that docks it into KDE/Gnome tray and also provides mail notification?

    We are exploring Mars in search of life.
    Not really. There is, almost certainly, no life on Mars, so searching for it is only one of the reasons for exploration. Another important reason is a prospect of actually doing something useful with Mars (AKA colonization.) For that purpose, contamination is irrelevant.
