... there was a movie about this, called the island of Dr Moreau. Well not exactly about this, but about a Dr who took animals and tried to make them human, through altering them genetically.
Considering that H.G. Wells' book "The Island of Doctor Moreau" came out in 1896, that SciFi is not that bad. Dated, maybe.
Has anyone found bluetooth to be reliable for them? Any success stories?
Yep. Been using it for connecting to internet from my laptop, via the phone. Works fine. Started it a few years back; I'm on my second laptop since then (had a Sony Vaio, then iBook), 3rd phone (Nokia 3650, then Motorola V330, then Motorola RAZR.) T-Mobile.
Unless I'm mistaken, the TPM is itself is signed. Windows can check that to figure out whether the TPM it thinks exists really does or not. Or in other words, to "simulate" a TPM you need to get the Trusted Computing Group's private key.
...Or have a real Trusted computer available, and institute a Man-in-the-middle attack.

I'm assuming that this is a reworking of the old joke: There are only three kinds of people in this world - those that can count, and those that can't.
OK, can somebody explain what Archy is, exactly? The intro document seems remarkably content free, and basically just talks about how wonderful it is, and how it's going to make you more productive, and enlarge your penis. But what is it all about, really? I don't have a Windows box handy, so I can't try it out...
I see plenty of options listed in replies to your questions, but they all seem to be either Windows-only, or generic application-docking mechanisms... Is there no extension for Thunderbird that docks it into KDE/Gnome tray and also provides mail notification?
Not really. There is, almost certainly, no life on Mars, so searching for it is only one of the reasons for exploration. Another important reason is a prospect of actually doing something useful with Mars (AKA colonization.) For that purpose, contamination is irrelevant.
Near Mars, which gets about half of that flux, you need about 300 square meters.
So, a couple of 10 by 15 meter panels. That doesn't sound out of the question.
You do realize that NOPs and comments do not affect the speed of the software, once it's compiled?
Looks very interesting... What kind of programmatic access does it provide? Can I send it a SQL query?
I've got news for you: Russia still requires an internal passport.

Are you also too young to read? The GP stated clearly the kid was playing soccer.
Yeah, and when you buy a bottle of your favorite beer, you'll never now know if you're getting donkey piss instead. No thanks.
Seems to be a popular pastime: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/05/31/huge_word/
Nothing specifically Bayesian about it. It's a general logical rule called modus tollens.
Hmm, I couldn't find any mentions of passwords.

$350, actually

Considering that the rovers operate on solar power... I don't know about this idea :)

And Yojimbo itself was based on Dashiel Hammett's book "Red Harvest," btw.
It's the location that has changed, from Rivendell to Gray Havens. Pretty minor, if you ask me.
I meant material help (supplies.)
Sorry about the name of the battle.
