  1. I'm all for being overly paranoid and cautious with this technology, but I find it hard to believe in 2018, there aren't sensors which would result in better visibility than a human.

Being cost effective? I don't know, but there's so much tech now, laser, radar, sonar, camera, infra red, heat sensors etc. A combination of these, one would expect, should result in being able to see.

    What? ...... What?
In Australia, unless you're at a crossing, the car has right of way. At an intersection, if the car is turning into a road, the pedestrians have right of way _only_ at that intersection.

I was endlessly seeing people walk in front of cars and while in a vehicle we were constantly stopping for people to just walk in front of us. It's pretty crazy.

That's the catchall, once someone is using it, you have a pretty good idea of their politics.

Effectively throwing a dead cat on the table.

"Toxic" opinions range from all kinds of stances, but it need only be saying "all lives matter" or "equality for all, not promotion of minorities over others" etc, that alone can trigger these kinds of people into calling you toxic.

Reddit, twitter and youtube in the last 12 months have really gone on a crusade against people. The sad thing is, in people using such terminology so freely like racist or nazi, they're devaluing the use of the word and allowing real racists and nazis to slip between the cracks. If everyone is a nazi, no one is.

Many of the 'alt-right' horrible people are infact quite liberal, they simply point of the hypocrisy and madness of some of the extreme left claims. Things such as "doxxing is fine, as long as we think they're bad people" or even "violence against people is ok, as long as they're alt-right" (and so on and so forth,..)

The thing with the extreme left is they're just so easy to provoke and get a rise from, you can say something entirely in jest, clearly in jest to people with common sense and they go into an autistic screech. This over reaction, is so wild and inane people can't help but push the buttons of these people. Not because they believe half the shit they say but because the result is hilarious. It's like teasing the kid at school who loses his mind when you call him X name. (To be clear, I was bullied at school myself)

Ahh politics on the web, it's truly become an awful place in the past 2 years, horrifically so. Worst part is, for us non Americans, we didn't give a damn. Americans really are an incredibly political lot, they love discussing it, they identify with it, they follow it closely. Many other countries really couldn't give a damn, but sadly, most content does indeed originate from the states, meaning all kinds of things are now filled with political undertones, tweets, youtube videos, tv shows, movies, music. It's awful for those of us who simply don't (or didn't) care and had ignored all this most of our lives.

With you entirely, there's an endless supply of articles and videos out the with clear evidence that letting in millions of unchecked immigrants from horrific counties has resulted in massive crime increase, these people are simply different culturally. Not all of them, most though.

In the old days, with tighter borders, much lower immigration, the "quality" people from these regions who were educated, with good values, would escape the riff Raff and leave to other countries. Now the riff Raff practically have open borders, so they are swarming in. You need only ask the old immigrants from these same regions who came 20 to 50 years ago and they'll speak far poorly of"their countrymen" than any local "alt right" person.

Your points are so incredibly valid. In a time where housing is so difficult to afford, jobs harder to find, wages stagnating, buying power diminishing, WHY IN EARTH, do these places need more immigrants?! Race aside, cultural issues aside, crime, skin colour, forget that, forget it all, why, economically should the locals be getting fucked?

My country is one of the highest in the world, (besides Germany which is of course INSANE) and the economic impact is utterly incredible. The locals are being priced out of ever owning a home, we are specifically inviting quite a wealthy demographic who are using the country as a retirement village and another demographic who are willing to work for a bit less.
My country isn't Europe and I tell you now, the fear of a landlord kicking you out of his property for profit and gentrification is very very worrying, upsetting, anxiety inducing.

This immigration specifically helps the very wealthy, more workers for tax, more profit for big business, resulting in huge dividends, housing investments increasing in value or return on rent.
Best part is the elite wealthy (generally right) are now in agreement with the left on mass immigration for entirely different reasons and the left have no idea JUST HOW MUCH it's ruining things for the young, (generally left, I was young once too)
These poor, idiot kids are fighting the hard sjw issues! And in turn wondering why they have shit pay, shit jobs, no jobs and insane expensive houses.

AND they can't be told by moderates like me, I'm obviously a Nazi....

YouTube has something obscene uploaded each day, it's utterly astronomical, the quality of GENUINE Nazi content would be not only very small but against YouTube guidelines.

However, because people would dare have opposing viewpoints about immigration (numbers, not race) or wage gap, or bring directly racist AGAINST white people, the extreme left have started claiming almost anyone is "Alt-right" or an actual Nazi.

They're diminishing the value of the term Nazi, significantly and bringing politics where it simply doesn't belong, the politicisation of the web in the past 3 years is astounding, even Slashdot is reporting this stuff weekly of not daily.
